The Journey begins here so get YOUR ASSES IN GEAR!!!! FEBRUARY

What a day!!! Do any of you women ENJOY shopping with your hubby? We went to Lowes, where I got a Farmer's Almanac, some herb plants (much cheaper than buying them by the bunch and I use fresh herbs a lot), and 3 big pots of Calla lilies that had been discounted from $16 to $3. After they finish blooming, I'll let them die out, dry the bulbs and separate them, then next fall have about 10 to plant. Then we went to Longhorn's for lunch, and I'm still waddling to walk! Brought home half of it, but ate all my lobster. Hubs ordered cheese chili fries with jalapenos. That would have been enough, but then a huge Caesar salad, steak and lobster, loaded potato and a small loaf of homemade bread. So, I'm DYING, and he says we need to shop for him some new clothes. We went to Kohl's and they were having a big sale, so he found some great stuff. When we got to the register, along with 40-50% discounts already, the girl asked if we wanted a store card for another 30% off, and he shocked the sh#t out of me when he said 'yeah, sure.' We saved over $250 from the list prices! Of course, he said 'you're NOT to use this and go wild', but he told me in Lowe's not to buy plants!! :H Then Belk's, more shopping (I got a shirt), Barnes & Noble, and Publix. And HE complained because I bought a $7.00 bowl of fruit! Finished off with the $ Store, so now he'll be pretty at least. Better not open his mouth about my beauty shop spending! I hate shopping and desparately need clothes.
The Crypt Keepers are back, and Hubs went over to see them. I sent them a few of the pics I'd gone through of the kids, and Hubs said his mother kept saying a picture of Tip in the hospital with an hours-old AB was Ry!! Ry was adopted at about 10 months!!! He said she finally believed him that it wasn't.
Bird, you're a wild woman! But, during last night's storm I might have rather be out in a shed than a mobile home. They do seem to be tornado magnets. I don't mind the storms during the day but at night you can't see them coming.
Sun, enjoy your dinner. Wish I was close enough to see my daughter often. I only get to see son's girls on Wednesdays and every other weekend. Oh, and about that disastrous weekend at the cabin where I was stranded. Their mother brought her boyfriend when they mooched off the oldest grand and stayed in the cabin she and Chris had rented. I've talked to Beck since then and she was upset that she didn't get to spend time with me after I planned the trip around theirs. She's coming this summer to stay with me, and I told her not to worry about her 2 little tanks. Just want to spend time with them. Ex-B won't DARE crash my house.
MB, I'd love to go to Philly. Told Hubs I'm travelling more this summer, even alone if I have to. Talk about bad luck! The assistant he shares with another guy had to have knee replacement a while back, then when she was better, went out to walk her dog, fell, and had to have it all done over. She's been back a week and has to have her gall bladder out. So she's running out of sick pay and he's doing all of his work, another boss/friend who has a pancreatic tumor and an alcoholic wife. Bad stuff happens, huh?
Hubs said the other 2 guys who applied for his new position are mad at him. One had no experience (he's head of security), but he's a veteran, the other has low performance records, but is a minority, and they both really thought they had the job. The guard had already started planning his crew of workers. I'm sure it was a disappointment, but get real! Hubs has started grooming a young guy already to be able to recommend him to replace him when he leaves, and the guy said 'I don't think I can do what you do. NO ONE else can'. What a nice compliment.
Nora, hope your ears are OK on the flight. Are you better? Any updates on the job front. Take care, sweet lady.
T, kids make us crazy! You know I've always said raising children is like being pecked to death by chickens. Saw a sign in a Helen shop recently that said "Crying, loud, unruly children will be give a cappuchino and a puppy". LOVE it! A couple came in at the restaurant today with a toddler who had an ear-piercing shriek and used it readily. Sorry, but if I'm paying 75 bucks for lunch, I'd rather not jump and cringe every 5 minutes. Don't forget about the fan, please T. Do you still have it? And do you want to sell it? Just let me know.
Still in a quandry over a hair change. Awh, world peace, world hunger, and my hair. Where's it gonna end? :H
Later guys. Another wordy, selfish post, but hey, ya'll know me well enough to expect and forgive. (I hope!)

                    Hi all
The shed blew over and I had to clean yard. Went to visit friend up road and we tried to shoot a bell with a slingshot and a beer can full of water with a 22. It was fun. ....T our kids do not want to listen to us...I'm gonna cut my hair, it is driving me crazy. I asked the kids if they wanted to try cutting it but they were scared. ...Rubes dont know how you managed that large meal.....kinda bored.

Bird, I can't believe your girls turned down the opportunity to cut your hair! What a perfect way to get their mom back for all real or imagined slights! :H

Rubes, I can relate when it comes to "fine dining" and unruly tots. Used to be a time when people didn't bring children out to eat in nice places until they were old enough to behave.
