      We mustn't be chased away, Mama. And really, it's more like one or two obsessive stalkers who come here to stir the pot. Last night, I was wondering at the amount of hatred and anger this person holds in her heart- really marveling! It's not something I myself have experienced- and I decided to pray that the hatred and anger she harbors for Ruby is removed from her heart. Can you imagine how sick her spirit is? To obsessively stalk another person's posts, looking for reasons to feel slighted so she can unleash her ire? It's sad and sick.

      We're not going anywhere...and I suggest that we all send up a prayer for the hatred to leave her. :h

        Lovely, friend.
        I just got this from a very old friend, who seemed an impossible alcoholic, lost his license to the point he had to ride his bicycle everywhere. He retired early, and is living his dream now in Florida, riding a Harley all over the country. Somehow, this seems so timely.

        One evening the fox invited his friend the stork to dinner. For a joke the fox prepared soup and served it in a shallow dish. The fox could easily lap up the soup. But the stork, with its long bill, went hungry. The fox gave the stork a sly grin and said, "I am so sorry. It seems as if the soup is not to your liking."

        "There is no need to apologize," the stork replied. "I w...ould like to repay your hospitality and invite you to dinner tomorrow night."

        The next evening, the stork served the fox a meal in a long-necked jar with a narrow mouth. The stork could easily reach into the jar and eat, but the fox could not and went hungry. "I will not apologize for the dinner," the stork said. "because one bad turn deserves another." After that, the fox and the stork were no longer friends.

        The Moral of the story: Revenge may be sweet, but the damage it does cannot be repaired.

        No matter how wronged you may feel by the words or actions of another, remember that revenge, retaliation, and harboring resentment serve no useful purpose.

        I will let go of past resentments and consider no one to be my enemy.

                I just spoke to MB. She hurt herself picking up a towel, as she said. I reinforced to her NO heavy lifting like that!!! But I think she'll live. Hope you get home soon, sweet girl. Fen is it spring-like there too??

                      Hi everyone - well, off to work in a few - clopen for me today. Then the whole weekend off - Yahoo!! Hope you are all feeling chipper - liked the fable Rubes - it is never any good trying to get ones own back - it will always catch up with you somehow.

                      I have been around Rubes - just sort of feeling out of sorts a bit - nothing wrong though. Just sitting back a little. Sometimes I need to go into my shell for a little while. But I am always around. I just didn't feel I had anything worthwhile to contribute.

                      anyway - off to get my food ready for work.

                          Sorry that there were bad vibes here yesterday.
                          I have been working on my 'feelings'. (Getting so upset & hurt about things - which is why I kept my mouth shut yesterday)

                          Here are some of my mantras.......

                          I don't have to attend every argument that I'm invited to.

                          Inhale Love, Exhale Hate

                          Ask yourself this question: Will this matter a year from now?

                          I have decided to stick with love, hate is too big a burden to bear

                          It doesn't always work and I still get upset but I try to stop & say these things to myself. Praying was such a good idea Fen. One of my quotes that I like also mentions praying.

                            Nora, you are burdened with SO much bigger problems than the small shit. We're here to support you, hon, and I'm sorry you're easily hurt. I really don't sweat the small stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff. Take the high road every time, friend. You'll feel better in the long run. Not everyone in the world will like you, and sometimes it makes them feel better trying to bring you down (like your FIL), but you're better than that, and have life issues to deal with, not junk. Have you spoken to your parents since you got back? You carried joy to them with your visit, and money can't buy that. Take care of yourself and those in your world, because THAT'S the big stuff. Hang in there, sweetie.
