The Journey begins here so get YOUR ASSES IN GEAR!!!! FEBRUARY

Oh Jan - I'm so sorry about your back. My back is killing me again too. I'm copying you between the ears and the back. :H:H

I'm glad that I didn't hurt anyones feeling with the post that I made. It wasn't meant as anything to anyone......just the fact that I've been having issues with the hurts/anger and that I am trying so hard to step back. Many of those sayings are ones that I've learned after dealing with my brother. There is no use getting upset anymore with him. He is the way he is and I'm going to be the way I am. I don't need 'to attend every arguement' anymore. With my FIL too. Inhale love, exhale hate. I don't need to dwell on these negatives/slights, etc.

Oh well - enough of that. Just glad that you all took my post the way I meant it.

Not for sissies, Jan. Hug Sunnie's boyfriend for me.
I let the girls drive my car around the back acres yest to practice their driving skills (all of have that all our lives!) and I think they found every mudhole on our place! Hubs commanded them to come back and clean it or else. :H. They were giggling but they'll do it. He told them if they want to play rough he'll teach them to drive the farm tractor. I do, and it's a good skill to have.

Mom is looking pretty okay. Brought her some supplies and cleaned up her place. She's hoping to go back to work tomorrow (yes, she still works at 83), but I think she should stay home. Brushed her cat, filled her bird feeder, and things are looking fine there. :h

Mama, my first bf had an International Scout with four wheel drive... you had to actually get out of the car and mess with the wheels to get it that way! Yep, those days were fun!

Thankfully, NOT the Roller Derby! :H With her osteoporosis, it would be a very hazardous job. Not the "gentleman's" club, either! My 92 year old auntie jokes about working there as a dancer.:H

She works at Swiss Colony, a sort of mail-order cheese house that has branched out into other stuff...fleeces, tschotschkes, etc. She's been working there for over 35 years. She took a couple years off when my dad was so ill. After he passed away, they called her and asked if she would like to return...I was so grateful! Working there gives her a social life (she meets up with her co-workers outside of work as well), and a purpose. Plus, she has a very youthful, cheery outlook and perks the place up a bit.

Thanks for your kind words, Mama. I try to be a good daughter. I want her to be as happy and independent as she can be, for as long as possible. Doing my best. :h

We have had many in their 80s working at the shop and some have been 90. Everybody works there until they die, then we write their name on the wall in the weld shop and there are many names on it....well my neck hurts....I used to go mudding too...hung out with all these farm boys in my 20's...only had to kids at drum group today..kinda tired.

Gina - I hope you are feeling better! :l

Mama - How's your back? I just took a muscle relaxant.

Rubes - when are all your appointments? Did you say tomorrow?

Fen - so happy your Mom is doing better. My parents are 84 but not as spry as your Mom. But, they are still able to get around so that's good.

Here's a horrible pic of all of us - Me, Dad, Mom & brother. Funny, once upon a time, I never would have posted such a bad picture of me but now that I'm older I'm like - well, that's what I look like. :H:H

Good evening everyone. Lovely Picture Nora! It isn't horrible at all!! And I agree with as one gets older it is - this is me! I like seeing pics of people with their mums and dads!

Well, I have just got in from work, and have sorted the dogs. I am opening tomorrow morning so need to get straight to bed - once I have unwound a bit. Have a good book so will do my hot water bottle and go to bed and read for a while I think.

Jan - you must be careful - those 2 lb towels must be lifted carefully - with the knees! Hasn't anyone taught you how to lift heavy objects the correct way? What 'crud' have you got now? Poor you - you certainly are going through it aren't you? I am fine by the way - really I am. Sometimes I just need to sit back and be still and quiet for a time. I am good though - honest!

Will someone please tell me what 'mudding' is? i mean - I have a vague idea - but not exactly sure what it is - sounds a bit odd to me!

Rubes - exactly which boyfriend of mine is Jan supposed to be hugging? Just so I know... LOL

Fen - so pleased that your mum is doing better - I am pleased that she is still able to work - that will keep her young at heart !!

Hi to everyone else - georgie - hope that you are feeling better - poor you, you seem to be a bit in the wars too don't you? I hope that the docs manage to find what is going on with you soon.

I need to get to bed - have to be up at 5.00 and I know it is going to take a while to unwind still. Love and hugs,

                                Sun X
