Tax refund is here this morn and I have to go to work damn....wouldnt bother but a rush job on table, slept bad...Nora that is not a bad picture at all. Good Morning! Gosh it came fast! Thanks for the clarification Rubes! I was thinking seeing as you had already paired me off with Busy Bob, you meant him and couldn't work out HOW Jan could give HIM a hug - LOL. Jan - please give Clay a hug from me too - he is such a sweetheart! Pest that he can be - he is a sweetie!! How is he doing? Say I said Water Paaark! Nora - I also have to agree with Rubes - my dad died 18 years ago - and I don't have a nice picture of him with me like that...... I have ones of him on his own or earlier ones but not one of a family pic.....treasure it!

Hi Bird - glad you got your tax refund at last - I too used to spend mine about a dozen different ways before I actually got it!! LOL Oh and thank you for explaining mudding to me - it sounds like fun ..... NOT !!! Must be an American thing.

Back up from my morning nap. :H I wake about 3:30, then go back to sleep a bit around 5:30 or 6, and it works for me. Hubs hates it, since he's a morning person but goes to bed at 8 PM. Since he gets home around 7:30 these days, we say hi/bye. Lots of phone calls, texts, but then it takes a week for him to decompress on vacation and out of 'boss' mode, and me to just adjust to his bulk and noise and appetite! I DO need to call Cheaters about his work!
He came home early yesterday so we could (OH JOY!) visit car lots. Those poor, hungry salesmen chased us like Night of the Living Dead. Only saw 1 new Highlander I liked, but don't want a new car, (don't want ANOTHER car, really). They were anxious to know, Jan, if I'd trade in my 4-runner, but no. They tried to tell me the new 2WD was as good as my 4WD, and that I'd really like a cloth interior. NOT! And they don't have as much cargo room. Hubs put in his usual plugs for an extended cab truck with a camper cover. NOT. So Hubs comes in and cruises the net for a while, found a '10 he likes about 60 miles from here. We'll see. His status is in flux as they try to get his promotion through all the channels, couldn't use his company credit card yesterday at work. GAWD, I'd love to have that card for about 2 hours one day, what fun! Anyway, the whole time we looked, got dinner, his phones and radios and beepers went off. Oh well. It's not me, anyway.
Have fun at work, Sun, then get some rest, please. I DO admire your stamina.
Hope to hear from everyone but me soon. Feel like I'm creating an echo in here!
Oh, and we're under severe thunderstorm warnings, tornado watch right now, so dogs are supe-glued to me. Ever tried to hold 160# of dogs?

Hater!! :H I think it's real! Those suckers are all over the place here, and they can fly up about that high when startled.. One with chicks flew out of the bushes at Tay down at the creek and she literally hit the ground. About 6 of us saw it, and she got so mad because we were rolling in laughter. That same weekend, MIL fell asleep beside the fireplace, and the fire popped so loud she jumped out of the chair. A good weekend!! :H
HORRIBLE driving weather. Several inches of water on the road, so dark street lights were on, and I couldn't see 10' in front of me, but we're home, TG.
Hubs co-worker has been diagnosed with a malignant pancreatic tumor. He has to have surgery, then chemo and radiation. Hubs really likes him, and is doing his work too, so keep him in your prayers, please. He's a very good guy.

Wow it's dead here. Oh well, glad you're all busy and making a living. Storm has passed here, still raining though. Hope you're OK, Birdy as it's coming towards you.
Tay is like a 2-y-o in a storm. Told her to get in the storm closet, hide, and SHUT UP!
Fen's gone to her cabin, the lucky squirrel. Well, after I go to the doc 4 times, get poked and probed and the blood draining vampires are through with me, I'm going to mine too. Got a letter from the county tax office where I bought aunt's house, and cousin's incompetent lawyer didn't send them any transfer info, so now I have to find her marriage certificate, will, death certificate - CRAP! Called and they were nice, now trying to pin down that bozo lawyer. If it's not one thing it's 20, you know. Ask me how I'm enjoying retirement. :H

Gina, I have arrythmia, and be SURE you're up on B-12 and potassium, plus hydrated. Eat lots of bananas. Not a whole bunch at a time, but one or so a day. Sorry about your trials and tribulations. This too shall pass.
MB, enjoy. I sometimes don't even put on clothes (any!) during the day. A peeper would die of shock if he came here!!! Keep a robe handy for deliveries, though.

Rubes-- how did you all fare with the storms down there? My head certainly went wild from the barometric pressure changes and I had vertigo all day but here in East Atlanta we got not one drop and it is still pretty warm here. I just finished cleaning up for Mark's shindig tomorrow night-- he is having his hockey friends to play poker and I am providing barbecue and the fixins' That was what he wanted for his 49 th bday-- don't know if I should be offended or not though I am taking him on a date next Saturday-- it is nice that I can be the designated driver for that-- he wanted to check out a place called Bourbon Bar-- I detest bourbon so that won't be hard for me at all. I will get a nice meal out of it at another spot so there is that. I may try to do Zumba tomorrow if I can haul it up though I am sure Mark will not help with Luke tomorrow -- it being his bday weekend-- so I will take him to karate etc. I have a nice friend who is about to get fired from her job and I need to meet her for lunch-- she has legitimate health issues but has tried her employer's patience to the point where she is not doing her job liek it needs to be and I think she wants me to make her feel better-- but about that I can't

Well I went shopping after work an got some towels and 2 shirts and 1 pants and socks and a haircut. Rained like crazy and now the cold front coming in. Went on a cleaning spree and now tired. Did not go to gym and ate at arbys and then pizza..bad bad..Atl dont know that I could handle zumba. Think my knees would give out...Rubes we have lots of turkeys here Remember my turkey dream the other night?? Car shopping sounds like a pain..MB sounds like you are having a good day off....Georgie sorry you are feeling bad...Sun are you clopen today? I dont see you....I wonder how Swannie is???
