Fenny, I SO remember Arnold! The other day when we were working with the salesman (description: 20, MAYBE 100 pounds, 2 weeks on the job, looked like the black 12 Y-O from some TV show) he was cute as pie trying to work out the numbers, and I asked if he could cipher over 10 with his shoes on! He looked so confused, and we all had a good laugh when I explained Jethro Bodine. He was a baby, but he'll always remember Jethro, AND his commision!! He's the poor soul that told me 2WD was as good as 4. :H I love classic old TV, and Andy Griffith and the Beverly Hillbillies certainly suit. When I told him he looked just like a salesman who had helped us in the past, we both got a big laugh when I said 'You know you blacks all look alike' and he replied 'So do all you white people'!! It's such a good thing to enjoy a difference in ourselves; there was nothing disagreeable, just us exchanging thoughts! It was all in good humor.
JC is cooking (wow) and Tay is cleaning. I'm a happy and lucky person. Got 'Goldie' back, and Hubs is out straightening out the dealership. Off to play and feed Ninny. Life is good. I'll have chickens soon, JC will have 'new' old tires, Tay is working hard, on and on. So, thank you all for your love.

Sun-- we are going to England first and while there Londin, Oxford and I am not sure where else then Ireland. Would love to go to Scotland -- I have been while in school-- but hubs has never been to Europe at all so we are starting with England then as he is Irish he wants to go to Ireland. What is the ballpark for a fare to London if you know? I was shocked at some of the domestic fares! I recall using my Britrail pass 25 years ago and going all over England and Scotland. It should be really fun-- but I know it has changed so much.

Rubes-- I was on topa before Luke and it worked great-- I never had those dopey side effects. After Luke was born I tried it again for the migraines and it did not work at all! Of course my body was a cauldron of hormones so it may work now that they have settled. Tryptans do not work for me at all like imitrex Also tried neurontin and some other antiseizure drugs. Maybe I could give the tops a go again. I never drank much until after I was off topa so who knows what it could do for me now? I do know I have felt lousy for 3 weeks -- and wanted to shoot hubs for his disapproving look when I mentioned it. Bite me-- while he is running around like the dudes in Slap Shot I am take g care of the minutiae of things he is taking for granted like a clean house, clothes, food, our child and his activities-- so he can zip it!

Okay-- I have to go in to karate -- I feel so gross I would rather not but we are supposed to appear interested and involved or the sensei gets miffed-- please-- this is not Cobra Kai!

Rubes, I loved Arnold! It was so funny how Lisa Douglas always had such faith in Arnold- she was always in the "know" about his activities...like the time he got a paper route in order to purchase a color t.v.! :H

I loved the Beverly Hillbillies, too. Loved Jethro and Ellie May...plus, Jethro's unfortunate sister, Jethrine (Max Baeer in bad drag).

I love Green acres and we have some of the dvds, I used to make the kids watch them and they didnt like.. Now there is Me tv and one kid loves bob newhart . mash and mary tyler moore and they like lucy and brady bunch...another long day and sick of piano teacher and told him I taking a break from him (in an email) . Otherwise he will talk me out of it..Work sucked, forman and his cancer out on disability damn..gonna watch tv a bit...my back hurts tooo..

If your kids love those other shows, I can't imagine them not liking "Green Acres", bird. To each her own, I guess. :H

Sorry about work...I hope your foreman can get better soon. What sort of cancer, and what stage is it? Do you know?

Watching something about Amish on pbs.. Love the way they live but not the religion part.. Boss has liver lung cancer. Say they can get rid of it. !st said he had lung liver cancer and they couldnt get rid of it . Who knows? Guess one is better than the other....45 min till bedtime, I am always waiting..

Oh gosh, bird. Both those types of cancer are really bad. However, I do know two peeps who overcame one each of those cancers. I hope he does okay.
