Good Morning to all! Hope everyones backs are feeling better and that everyone just feels good today! Fen - how is your mom doing now? is she better? Hope so.....

ATL - my fare was $870 which was pretty much as good as I could get - but as you are flying from ATL, it should be cheaper. I have changed at ATL in the past so in effect you start the second leg of the journey. The thing is with the time of year you are going, that is peak season - the children in UK get out of school end of July and go back beginning of September, so that is a bad time to go there regarding fares. Keep searching!

Hi Rubes - did you get any relaxing in yesterday at all? I wish I could find a way to make you relax! I know it would help with your health issues if you could !!

Nora - well, a whole month! WELL DONE! So, now you are going on to March - yes? I think it is terrific and you must be feeling pretty good about it yourself too. :l

Bird - as usual, SO much going on in your life - I don't know how you keep up with it all. I really am sorry about your boss. They say they can get it, which is always possible, but that is not a good combo of cancers. So sorry......

Everyone else - have a wonderful day to you - I am getting ready for work. At least I have the early shift today. Hubs is off all week. Which I suppose is giving me a glimpse into what him being retired is going to be like. Gulp.

Jan - is your back feeling better? Gosh - backs take forever to heal don't they? Poor you, although laying around on a heating pad reading sounds pretty good to me.....LOL

Sun-- I did not knoW that about the peak times- I was thinking that if we got there after the Olympics maybe things would be a bit calmer. When are the off peak times there just for my own info? I remember going to France mid August and it was a Holy Day of Obligation and everything was so dead. When I last went to England it was in June. I want this to be a good experience so I better get it in gear!

OK, I'm up, or most of me is. I will not speak of health issues again as Hubs and Tay and JC and son are watching me like guard dogs. It's unnerving having people do things for me. JC cooked supper last night while tay cleaned. I have to find a way to quit carrying the worries of the world and take care of myself again. Had two upsetting events recently, one important and one just silly, and it makes me so mad that they affect me physically. It's a weakness on my part, so enough.
Daughter used to watch 'I Love Lucy' every morning, or the really old Looney Tunes. She would sing the same song as the goofy little buzzard on the 'Tunes' WAY too much. :H
Bird, I certainly understand with your boss, as Hub's friend is going through much the same now. Years ago my best friend, whose daughter is Tip's best friend still, went through an agonizing spiral downward after her GYN dismissed her concerns of breast cancer and when she went to a dif doc it was too late. Her daughter still sends me Mother's Day cards, pictures, and updates of her family. I found just being there, listening, offering small surprises, helped them get through the bad times. Sorry everyone is having such back issues. Pains like that just nag, don't they?
ATL, I'm excited for your trip, as well as Sun's. I still don't understand why ya'll won't smuggle me along. I don't eat much!
New tires on Goldie, and JC is THRILLED with our old ones. After looking at the ones on his truck, I understand! We went to get Goldie (old Toyo) and then I came home, tired, of course, but Hubs went to car dealership over some issues. He NEVER rants and raves, but apparently he made his point since their owner (he does the most AWFUL TV car commercials!:H) came in and straightened it all out. Poor little salesman looked terrified, he said, so he told them all it was not all the little guy's fault, we really liked him. Car should be here today.
All the houses are rented- YAY!! Wish all the tenants would leave me out of their lives, though.

Made some soup last night and brought a lot of it to mom today, along with some rolls. I can't believe how well she's come back from all of her health woes of the last year. I'm very grateful. :h
