    Oney thanks for the thought but Zen has it right, I do want to plod along keeping my head down. Having been here for the length of time I have, I dont feel I have anything to celebrate yet. When I get past the 90 I last managed I will be happier and feeling I am finally achieving something.
    Gotta run.
    Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

        Evening guys, i had to do some serious sucking up, but think its all ok now, lol, what am i like, i would be late 4 me own funeral
        I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.

            Hello Troopers!!

            Molly - what's the secret ingredient for your special sauce? Which will no longer be a secret after you tell us.

            Reccie - will we have a piccie of you with said swimming trunks? Pweeeze....

            Jackie - I think you're right in your choice. You'd be much better at casual convos that you throw in bits of advice and also gleen info from the people. As we alkies know, the thought of professionals scares the bejezus out of us. Don't want to have someone examining our brains and trying to uncover our deepest secrets. Casual chats can do that without us even realizing it. That's what you'd be brilliant at. Just don't forget to run out for a quick ciggie break to jot down your notes and not do it in front of the client.

            Zen - glad to hear your kitty got some relief. Poor little guy.

            I see Coco stopped by for a quick visit. :wavin: fellow Canuck, if you're still around.

            Inchy - don't beat yourself up about drinking. There are very few of us on this forum who stopped on their first try and there are many here who still haven't managed to be AF even after years. The fact that they're still here and still trying is the important part. Ditto to what Molly said earlier about you being so aware of your problem and wanting to get help for it at your age. You are a very special young lady, just for recognizing that you need support to help you get through this. I hope you will contact the counselor at the uni. I know the thought of revealing our problems to strangers is scary but sometimes it is necessary for us to get to the bottom of our problems. And as the the others have said - that's what they are there for - to give support. And if you don't feel comfortable, keep looking until you find someone who feels right to you. Perhaps there is an alcohol worker in your area - like Reccie has - and you could contact them to get help from someone specialized in AL addiction. Whatever you do, we are here for you. Stick close to the boards whenever you feel you need our support.:l

                :upset: Electrician has just been to look at oven - started tripping the power after the housekeeper cleaned it on Monday. Baking element cracked. Need to replace all 4 switches for hob as well :upset:
