anybody know how Baclofen is priced comapre to Campral?

my medical doesn't cover meds and I'm getting hit hard in the pocket book...although I have really saved a pile in alcohol money!

          Hi D -
Not sure how it compares. Maybe do a search on Walmart? If you have a prescription, you could also buy from one of the Canadian pharmacies I think. There must be a place on line where you can compare prices.

Hope you and DX doing okay, hugs,

            Hey D -

I just popped over to a website called pharmacychecker.com - they include Canadian pharmacies too. At drugstore.com 180 tabs of Baclofen (20 mg) was 63.50 and 180 of Campral was 121.36. But, I am thinking you have to take a lot more Baclofen, right?

            Anyway, sees ya' later,

                Dear Louise...
I am one of those standing at the shallow end, shivering. Your words give me hope. Direction is something I will need to find, and perhaps by sharing I will find the strength to shed the protective cloak of my addiction and have the confidence to jump in.

Hi Irishlady :new: I have just read your post and it so well describes just where I am now, gave me some hope. I am quite scared about lots of things but mostly who will I be if I don't have a drink. And having read that where I will be if I don't. So :thanks:

Hello pipenny and welcome to MWO.. Its understandable that you are scared of not drinking, I felt just the same, drinking was the biggest part of my life.. You say you are scared of who you will be if you don't have a drink, well the only way to find out is to try it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised, I know I was..

Its not an easy thing to do, I would be a liar if I said it was, but it is so worth all the hard work, so go on, jump right in and give it a go..

We are all here to help you,
                    With love from Louise xxx

                      Just Like a Swimming Pool.

                      Hello Irish Lady!

What a wonderful analogy! That will stay with me always! Thank you!

Of course, it got me to thinking about where I may be here in this pool. You guys know how it is when the water is soooo cold and you can hardly bear to get in?!! Initially, I just jumped in all at once and the cold was a great shock to my system. The water is now getting a little more comfortable as the body temp adjusts.

Don't get me wrong -- that was only 6 precious days ago!

I know that real pools do not have undertow, (or "undertoad
", if anyone remembers The World According to Garp ) -- but MY pool does! Heck, there are man eating sharks in my pool! Not all so sure that I am prepared to face them. So glad to know that the deep-enders are there to lend a hand!

I will be referring to your post often! It is so very encouraging with a tone of self-forgiveness. Beautiful!

On a side note, I would REALLY like to be swimming in that pool in a little bikini! LOL! Now, THAT's another story at a different pool!!

                        Hi Melissa and welcome,
I'm glad you are starting to feel a bit more comfortable here, it does take a little time to find your way around and to get used to all the characters on the boards, but keep on visiting, reading and posting..

Don't worry, there are no sharks in the pool only friends who will be willing to lend a hand whenever you need it..

I wish you luck on the journey,
                        Love, Louise xx

                          Hi Melissa,
Wow, jumping straight in! What a shock to the system! Well done.
I took the more tepid way and got in the shallow end, and am about half way along towards the deep end.
Irish is right, there aren't any sharks or rips to drag you out of your depth. It's a big pool with lots of helping hands.
                          Enjoy the swim.

Dac - since I'm new, what I'd like to say to you, is that what I've been telling myself is just because I want that glass of wine it doesn't mean I need to have it. I know one glass will lead to one bottle - and I just can't do that anymore. I want more for myself. The past 3 days af have been absolutely wonderful and I want that to continue. I wish you the best of luck!

Hi Teardrop and welcome to MWO,
I notice that your mood indicator says you are scared, there is nothing to be scared of as you will find so many people here just waiting to help you and many hands are being held out to you to stop you sinking back to the bottom.. Just take your time and find your way around, read and post as often as you can, any questions, then don't be afraid to ask.
