Wow that's some challenge you've set yourself Oney! I was thinking of something a little easier myself.

Are you going to put money in a swear box if you slip? I'd be well off by Easter if I did that!

Think I might give up cheese, that will be a tough one cos I just love it. I'd really like to give up Mr Sooty but nobody will have him :H

That's a lovely idea (I just googled Trocaire in case it was something naughty ) I'll do the same with me cheese money. I treat myself to something luxurious from the posh deli every week, so I'll donate the money to the Stroke Association instead, howzatt?

Oh our halos will be really shiny!

As usual raining again here, suppose I'd better get a move on and achieve something.

I need a coffee now. You are all on fine form this morning--I love it when I see all these positive and uplifting posts.

I will go and make a drink and then pop out in the wind and rain for a little run and have another coffe at the meetup with my friends.

Feck, Oners, you'd last about 30 seconds where I work it's more or less compulsory to pepper each conversation with as many swear words as possible.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                              I am indeed.

I've actually got a wee project to try and set up.

How to attract women over 45ish into the services. Just looking around MWO there are many of us ladies who were closet drinkers looking for a way to kick the drink (or drugs) but don't know where to start.

Mind you I can hardly bomb the local Women's Institute meetings with a pile of literature.

                                Army Thread 22nd February

Hi again Troopers. Just a quick lurk from me - got meals for three days on the go plush laundry and vacuuming.

Jackie, that sounds like a good project but difficult to do IMHO. It's hard to get a closet drinker to fess up on a face-to-face basis. Do you have any pamphlets that you could hand out? You once mentioned the wine isle at friggintesco's. You know, it's not a bad idea even tho' some people might be insulted that a stranger would hand them information about drinking and drug problems. Mind you alkies are so sneaky, they shop from various places to hide the amount they buy. Just a thought, tho'. And is there an anonymous number they can ring for help?

Oney - I wonder how long you're going to last without curse words. I know you're a determined lady but something like that is so ingrained that it's really tough to break the habit. Wishing you best of luck tho' and hoping you don't go broke by Easter....

:hallo: to everyone else. Hope you're all enjoying your day!!!
