Ok so how bout we start a new game??
Consider the Gloves OFF - when I gave my kid CPR - that was the 2nd out of 3 times in my life I have saved a person with quick thinking. I am awesome in emergencies. I held it together better than the guys each time! . . . Fell apart afterwards but straight forward thinking at the time of crisis.
First one was my baby brother who got hold of some tape and swallowed it, he was gagging terribly. My dad held him upside down and shook him (Ok, that worked huh) I reached down his throat and and pulled the tape out. (years later I sometimes wonder why - well not really!)
The third one was a patient, long story, but she completely stopped breathing and wet the chair. I turned the nitrous oxide off, upped the oxygen as high as it could go and started compressions on her chest. for a moment the doctor, just looked at her, in shock. Hello? He was a guy!

Oh, Fan and Kate that is awesome! I know this to be true of you. You have so many layers, as shown with your story this morning!
I thought we were in competition as Lou threw the gaunlet down the other day! I know you have harrowing stories as you started to tell the other day. I figured you would come back with some of the stories from fatherhood as you sound like such a great dad. Especially having your kids so often on your own! So you can open your mouth, we want to hear them!!
I don't normally brag but thought for the sake of fighting for women I would brag on! Sorry If I offended you.
Hugs to you Fan,
Mary

Ok, I think I have a new one...
I can remember things from when I first met my husband and use them in an argument if necessary, and when I'm desperate I can even manage to use things from before I met him.
He's lucky to remember something from last week, and time always trumps what's happening today...e.g. what? don't you remember 6 yrs and 3 days ago when I said that exact same thing to you???? you can't use that against me now.

ok,Fan, but does that work to your benefit?
I would have to say women remember things to our advantage much better. It's not what year Kennedy was assassinated. It's that day we first met in the hofbrauhaus in Germany and you were kissing that other girl, or while you were in Korea, you were off hanging around with people and having fun for a year and had a maid, meanwhile I was back home watching our 1 and 3 yr old, or that time you brought that girl over and you sat reminiscing about all the good times you had in Korea while I sat twiddling my thumbs, then there was the time in Vegas when you stuck me with that crazy woman while you went golfing...ok, I'll stop

I'm sorry, but you're going nowhere here. I can't believe you brought up childbirth to a woman who has two children. It's like Bill Cosby says, "Grab your bottom lip, and pull it over your head." That might be close to childbirth.
My son was born on my birthday, and I remember it more than any man possibly could. Also have a daughter that after too many hours of labor, I finally had a C-section. You can believe me when I say I remember every 9lb2oz and 9lb11oz.

ok, #1, men can't brag about birth weight since they don't have anything to do with it, and if anything it causes more pain for their wives.
#2 women still remember better which was my initial point about 10 posts ago. I guess you forgot about that Fan

Fan...as you have seen the pain and exhaustion a woman goes through during child birth first hand....then surely you will now admit defeat to us women....we are stronger and better than you guys any day!!!"Every passing minute is a chance to turn it all around"...Penelope Cruz...Vanilla Sky
