Not big birthday really. But she loves birthdays and acts like a big kid😊She's 32. Molly can you give advise. You don't drink now. Will you be bored? What will you drink? I'm not there yet but am optimistic I will soon😃 so trying to imagine what it will feel like.

Mornin' again everyone..I also fell back to sleep, quite thankfully really 3am is a bit too early to be up..
But noisy nieghbours upstairs yabering and didn't stop...
family had just come back from Chile..most of the folk were I live are from sth America..and the Latinos are very noisy, esp at night..I get on well with so stumbled up barefoot, glassess & dressing gown on and nicey asked them to shhhhh a bit, with a smile...
got a kiss, was invited in, but declined saying was going back to bed with Ollie....so peace was had after that..

but couldn't get back to sleep so had a brew and started the thread....

sorry to hear about all family storys, mine also was much the same, but my dad blew his head off coz of it...! so it is deffo a strong reason to get to grips with the AL....

Thankfully both my older children don't touch it...well apart from Jamie who does have a beer with his mates now and again...just hope it stops there...:l

That was my original reason for going but I found out that NA counts alcohol as a drug. It's based on same 12 steps as AA but for some reason I could never get on with AA so I'm giving this a try. Funnily enough there were at least 3 other alkies and most have a cross addiction. I think I may like it.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

                      Mornin' Oners and Ktabber

                      Had a proper read back.

I'm with you on the 'yummy' drinks. I've given up all the non-Al drinks apart from fizzy water and the odd tonic water. They're just toooooooooooooooo sweet.

Satz, hun at the 60th I was at the other week I was bored witless for an hour or so. Once I'd had a bit of food and the dancing got started I was grand.

Poor Bonnie, another major mouth invasion. Give her a :l from me.

And Tips, can I adopt you. Please.

                            Hello again!
Both kids home and they are "bored" so they won't leave me alone. Well, the daughter is packing-she's leaving this afternoon to ski with her dad. And of course, I have to help! Hate packing-especially when it's not even me who's getting to go anywhere.:H
As soon as I get her sent off, I'm taking the little one out-he's hyper.
Back laters-Hope you all have a good Saturday x
