Visiting his Nana at Easter Missy. Not sure for how long yet, about 10 days?

I've googled Resene, the quarter joss is nice - see Undies

Do you think she's lost her magic powers with her hair?
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

Maybe she has already headed off to meet me in Fiji as I suggested she should!!! Or, she could be getting her hair varied and beaded in preparation for a Fiji sojourn and it is taking longer than expected........

Either way, it ain't the same here wiffout her!!!

                  I'm here, Undies, I'm here ... don't panic ...

Firstly ... call that a bite? What a lightweight sooky-lala that diver is ...

Been terribly B&I today preparing for the first onslaught of visitors on Sunday. Because the weather forecast is good, I cleaned up the Outdoorium, blew pine needles to kingdom come, did a two hour mow, got the edges nice and neat, dragged chairs to various locations, found the cushions, cleaned the barbie ... you know how it goes.

Now more importantly. I need to find a hairdresser who offers a 'No Conversation' option. My head is still traumatised. I just can't do chit-chat. I don't give a fat rat's clacker about what position you hold on your kid's bloody netball team or what you said to Jason. I don't care whether it was on a Wednesday or a Thursday. I've got no thoughts whatsoever on Mrs. Beckham's baby girl...

And all this vacuous gibber goes on while you sit there, trussed up like the Christmas turkey, under a black cloak whilst some young spunk piles enough tin foil on your head to make the average Alcoa shareholder rub his hands with glee. You feel like a dork and to compound the felony, you're forced to watch the whole procedure in the mirror and you confirm that you do, without the shadow of a doubt, look like a dork. Two and a half hours of my life gone. Poof. Just like that ...

Thanks for the good wishes Saucy & Dorky One

What do you mean by the 1st onslaught, Froglet? Are there others to follow? What's the occasion?

TF - my strategy is to take in a fairly seriously looking report or book. Announce fairly early on in the piece how much you have been looking forward to two and a half hours on your own in the quiet to have a read of it. You don't have to actually do so - flipping over the pages at regular intervals works just as well. In the mean time focus your mind on something completely extraneous. I have also resorted to ear-plugs ("I can't concentrate on my report without them") and the i-pod ("I have a really important thing I need to listen to").

                        Orf to bed for me

Enjoy your highlights ...... I'm sure they look stunning :l

Undies - I've been wondering about Reggie and just checked back - we haven't seen him since 19th Feb when he last posted in the Lounge.

Reggie - if you're reading, just give us a coo-ee?

Tips - no occasion, I think they're all just making the most of autumn weather.

Been wondering about Reg this week myself and also sticking my nose in the lounge...if nothing else its a pleasure to see the changing avatars of Ficks and listen to some music...but yes, missing Reginald. A lot.

I have been missing Reg too, but I was suspecting that he might be very caught up with stuff with his Mum.

Reg, if you are even just lurking, know that we are thinking of you.
