Mademoiselle prefers to spread herself around the place if you will......

Yep big smiley face here Happs just reading around the forum seeing people run into the same lies over and over.....I might be right now.....maybe I can moderate....Makes me a bit sad.

Morning Jonesy, Saucy, and all to follow, especially you there in the cheap seats which is where i always like to sit.

Ah moderation, moderation. I have come to understand and ACCEPT that i don't want to control my drinking once alcohol has entered my system. I will during a dinner out, or social event, but eventually that day or evening, once i've opened that door, it's open slather behind closed doors, which in turn puts me out of action emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually for the next day or 2. Ridiculous, time wasting and boring pattern. The sober life is much more fun, interesting, wild and exciting. Just like me!

A marvellous day to all roo's. Rooting for you.

I run a little slideshow in my brain anytime I get those thoughts now...it starts with the rosy glow of drinkies, moves to - lets just say a not so happy place to protect the guilty, then life as it is now. No brainer. And the middle part of said slideshow is cringeworthy...

              Thanks Saucy.

Just man flu. I'm over it now. More needing a rest from work really to re-charge the batteries a little. That slide show is a good strategy.

Hope you are feeling better too Mussy.

I've got to stop this ducking in and out thing.....a bit like my life really.....
Yep just looking at one particular thread making the point about being ready to clean up.
Acceptance is a big one for me Mr G. The Jones brain just loves to try and get around things under the cloak of 'being positive' or 'creative'....yeah...'creative' with the truth.....

                  Morning Undies,

It has been a very quiet few quiet days in the drawer, with only a handful of us around. did we say somehting to scare the others off LOL ??

Re the modding..for me, there is no such thing as modding, what is the point of having one or two?? My brain sometimes tries to tell me that is will be ok to have a drinking session one night, just one a week and I can control it - ya ya ya ya - NOT!!! that will lead to every night sessions! I am working on changing my way of thinking, thanks to you guys for all the tips and pointers. I however, really need to get it down on paper, so that I can refer to it when I have a brain fart.

Hoping you all have a good day.

                  xx MoJo

Thinking of you Undies. Attended funeral this morning that was very emotional. Heading back to Arizona on Thursday. Staying at the Waldorf. It was the only place I could find on short notice w/o worrying about bed bugs. An IBM buddy told me to share this. Funny but sad story...

I stayed in this hotel for a week in '93. I had dinner with friends. Drank too much wine and returned to the hotel. Went down to the lobby bar and had three or six vodka martini's. Exhausted, I hobble back up to my room. I had to pee so BAD. Strip off my suit and tie down to underwear.

Well the front door and bathroom door looked exactly alike. The drunk me heads out the front door and it locks behind me. In a panic, I look for a service phone. I couldn't find one, so off into the hallway I go. About 20 minutes later I find a phone and call the concierge. I could NOT remember my room number. I did NOT indicate my state of dress. He told me to wait by elevator bank C.

It did take me a while to find bank C. I'm sitting in a Queen Anne chair by the elevator. As fate would have it, I hear the ding of the elevator and I got excited. It was not service, but about ten people in black tie returning to their rooms. I said hello. The comments were offensive. Ten minutes later, the service guy shows up. Giggling he let's me in my room...AWFUL.

BTW, I did pee in a planter...

I ONLY tell this story to close friends. Of course, my buddy used the post memorial lunch to share this with everyone. So why not share with you !

Right now undies, I'm very glad to be in one piece. The weather is bad here, and Mr B had to fly to Auckland, so I offered to take him to the airport rather than catching the bus. I was driving home when a car coming towards me took a corner too quickly, spun out of control, did a 360 degree turn and smacked into my drivers door. The seconds it took felt very long and very terrifying. I'm fine physically, but went into shock for several hours and am just coming right now.

In a twist of fate, Mr B's plane was cancelled because of the weather, so he had been administering hot soup and chocolate

And Happy - it happened at the exact time that you were saying that you hoped I was feeling better ........ do you have ESP or summat:H:H

All I can say is what a man! Anyone who administers chocolate is worth pots of gold.

                            Hope you're ok Missy.

Techie - you were one of the first people I thought of when I started to come right. I remember you saying something soon after your accident about how things can change in an instant of time. Too true!

No injuries Bridge, but it was a close shave. The drivers door is completely caved in - much more force and the right side of my body would have got some of the impact. And yes, I am exhausted - I went back to work afterwards, but I was still shaking a lot and really freezing (I didn't know until today that that is a symptom of shock! - I thought it was just our crap weather ) so I've come home and had a long bath and hopefully now a wee sleep!!

oh shitski missy I am glad that you are ok, you poor love. Glad that Mr B is giving you some TLC.
I swear I'm going to throw this frickin computer off a very substantial height. Telstra assures me it's because we are in a very low signal area, but that only adds fuel to the fire when I vibrate over our un-graded gravel corrugated roads, cannot buy bread in the co-op & find myself co-existing with a grunting sports-infatuated male of the species whom I really so NOT get along with atm.
                                Hmph.
MoJo - it is so great that you are back on a level footing with your mindset.
Has reggie made any brief appearances?
Techie & G-bloke, really you guys are too cool to be a tool.
                                Bridgee, are you sickly dear?
Triple echinacea liquid ladies, tastes like shit but hell's bells it cures all sneakily embuggering colds & flu. Yes, even man flu.

Thanks for the recipe dear happy, will try to find some pork mince in my travels & make it - sounds great.
Did have a good day yesty in the biggish town - actually bought some shit hot black skinny pants to wear at next noice function. They make my legs look nice & long & slim, for a fuckin change. Roight. Out to feed the critters. Dinner is turkey san choy bow.

Hopefully we will have connectivity so that I may come back on a bit more, so be afraid. Be very afraid.
