Bridge - can't recall what we were talking about when I mentioned fave authors but understanding your SoH, I think you'd really like "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving.

Hiya lovely ones!
Yes I was cruising the boards v.quickly. I've been flat out like a lizard on a rock since my sojourn in Fiji and haven't had much time to post. BUT, it is Friday and I'm feeling a little less frazzed!!!
Glad you are alright Missy!!
Good to see Rags back.
I'm heading to NZ next week. First to Christchurch to visit the outlaws (whom I love to death) then on to Auckland to go to the speedway. Quite looking forward to it, me thinks. Haven't been to Auckland before and would have preferred to spend the whole time on the north island sight seeing but......
Just now getting over my sunburn from a swim I did on the last day in Fiji. Swam out to (and around) a tiny little island off the resort. Felt great to be swimming in the ocean but when one travels alone it is difficult to get suncream on your back!!! Finally stopped scratching and rubbing which was not a good look in meetings with the big wigs.
It's weird you know, well maybe it isn't.... but often I say "oh, this friend of mine" or "this person I know" says blah blah about such and such and I'm referring to all of you here. I don't 'know' anyone here from a bar of soap, and wouldn't know your bones in my soup BUT you have all infiltrated my life in the nicest possible way. I feel connected and part of something. Something that is really important to me and I'm feel blessed to be here!
Salute to Mr G - as always.
Hugs to everyone - again, as always.
I've read Jason Vale's book and quite liked it. Made good sense and was another point of focus to add to my bag of tricks to stay off the sauce!!!
So have a FFF (fun filled Friday) and I hope life treats you very well today - and everyday for that matter.
CYAs a bit later perhaps. I'm at the command desk, but I think this little ship is on auto pilot and I'd better do something about it's direction!
Hugs, Nicey. It is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.

Back home via Jet Blue. I hope all is well. Did a ham & eggs thing at a G-bloke sanctioned NY eatery this morning. After some Zantac I was back to my old self. Bridge, that is a good book recommendation from the green one !Outside of a dog a book is mans best friend. Inside of a dog its too dark to read

I'm not sure what's going on here, but whenever i try to upload a funny pic of a chook, post what i reckon is a very funny tale, use 3 or more emoticons, or turn on the cctv, i get this little electric zap from me keyboard.
The more seasoned internet stalkers among you will know that i usually work this weekend, however, i've got it orf.....yeaah! I'm loving having this week off. I need it, and it's relaxing and giving me time to STOP and reflect on a few things.
Have a beaut day Roo's!
Chooka's.

Funny Nicey, we were all talking about that infiltration thing the other day, while you were away I think. Glad you had a lovely break girl.....
I keep forgeting to address this Jason Vale book. I'm still only half way through, but I normally have six books going at once, and I will get to it to finish up. It's a bit repetitive, but learning is like that. It does make a fair bit of sense in a simplistic kind of a way. Main thing I've gleaned so far is that grog actually doesn't taste that good. And he's right it doesn't. In the end you're just getting it down you for the effect.
Lemon cake however, tastes superb......If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?
