No worries. Anything else I can do?

Bridge I'm going to join you on the sugar-free thing as from tomorrow - went to the GP before I left and she reckons that sugar-free and acid-free is the way to go for arthritis. I'm not too bad on the sugar most of the time, but I'll give it a go to see if it makes a difference as my arthritic hip has been quite sore over the last week.

I've been doing the cutdown for only 48 hours and I have some pretty astonishing things to report about that.......

    1. Woke up at 5:20 am this morning. Slept like a log, woke up more refreshed that I have in weeks.Didn't have an afternoon pass out nap yesterday, and didn't feel like going straight back to sleep on arising this morning
    2. Sinuses were clearer that they have been in weeks.
    3. Back and feet are not aching for the first time....you guessed it...in weeks.
    4. I'd like to think that my head is clearer, but that would be a lifetime first

Really think I'm onto something here. Have been doing a bit of reading about sugar addiction, renowned in alcoholics

All I've done is cut way down on sugar and coffee, and started taking quite large doses of acidphilus/bifidus. A good quality one. Oh and they suggest treating for intestinal worms just in case. Noice.

My backpain/ stiffness has been so bad over the last month that I was roolly starting to wonder if you know what I mean.......almost 'fixed' over night.
Missy & Bridge here is what I use to keep the blubber down and inflammation at bay. I take a high quality muli-vit daily. I add one B-100, 800 mg of Quercetin, and 250 mg of Resveratrol. I take one 81 mg asprin as well.

Now when I'm getting ready to compete and have put on 15- 18 lbs, I have a quick cure. Add to the above 7-Keto 100 mg 2/day, Forskolan 125 mg 1/day, and Satriereal Saffron. I would lose body fat at an astounding rate while eating my same diet.

This is a secret method used by many of my friends that do sports. It WORKS!!!

      Thanks Techie.
I'd like to give a few more supplements a go. I never really got into them in a big way, according to the MWO book anyway.

A couple of hours in the garden bent like a contortionist and back is still holding out. I have literally had problems sweeping the floor some days recently, so this is great progress.
Amazing how the cleaning up thing uncovers layers of other imbalances which we just need to keep chipping away at.

So Missy is on our shores.....I wonder if she can slip past Sapphy's net and get into Tasmania? Let's set her the challenge, shall we Undies??

CS&N - by your roving music cricket

Having spent a very pleasant while on a balmy Melbourne evening watching swaying palm trees silhouetted against the biggest, reddest, roundest sun ever sink into the bay, my companion and I continued to stroll on to The Palais, a magnificent theatre along the Esplanade in St. Kilda. We took our seats which to our surprise were better than expected. In a packed house, we were ten rows from the front, in the centre. Yahoo! The lights dimmed. Mr. Nash entered stage right and made a special announcement. Mr. Crosby had been advised by his doctor to cancel tonight's performance which he refused to do. Apparently the doctor had filled Mr. Crosby with enough drugs of the good kind to appear on stage but he would be unable to sing. We were given the option to leave and have our money refunded at the box office. Hmmm. What to do? $168.72 each was not an insignificant amount.

Nah, we thought. We'll wing it and stay. Maybe the two-part harmony will be good enough to cut it. Mr. Nash promised they'd play their arses off to make up for lack of Mr. Crosby's vocals. Hmmm. OK, the first number can always be a bit rough; let's give 'em a go. They did some old stuff and some new stuff. The singing was 'ordinary', even making allowances for the fact that they're no longer twenty. Mr. Crosby wandered around playing guitar but he really looked like the proverbial spare-prick-at-the-wedding with nothing to do but play. And they did play their arses off but cheeses twice, I wish they'd played their arses off a bit quieter. It was uncomfortably loud for what I expected.

Another new tune was played. Gack! A horrible, discordant psychedelic-style number ... the sort of thing I didn't like even when psychedelia was fashionable at least, mandatory at most. The legendary harmonies were very thin and attempts by keyboard player to fill the gaps were a tad sad. Interestingly, the guitar roadies were kept very busy, bringing out fresh guitars after each song. I whispered to my companion (a guitarist) what this was all about? His one-word rejoinder: "Wankers."

              I see.

Interval came. Loads of people left their seats and made their way out. To get ice-cream? To go to the bar? To have a fag? I can't say. We did a runner.

This is perhaps a totally unfair summary. Maybe things settled down and got better after interval. I really feel for a vocalist who has throat problems on the night. I feel for a band who suddenly has to do unrehearsed stuff. But selfishly, I really feel for me because I didn't get a chance to sing along to "Teach Your Children Well". I'd spent all fusking week rehearsing. AND I'd painted my nails.

              The end.

Arvo/Evening Undies! shame about the concert Froglette, at least you came back with baked goodies though.

Re Earth hour, will probably be in bed early anyway or watching Harry Potter with the lights off - as you do...weirdly most of the people I know who do the Earth Hour thing spend nearly every other day of the year doing Unearth Hour type stuff...go figure...

Chicken and mushroom risotto tonight for dinner, yum! and not a choccie in sight...must be someones good influence? Hope Missy is having a lovely time tonight.
