Helllooo everyone! Let's see of I get noticed here....
Non eventful day. Still soggy. Everyone I know is now flooded in so have no one to play with. Put a rinse in my hair this arvo 'cos my hairdresser is also in the flood zone. Think I look like a tabby cat now but hey - refer to first line - may never even be noticed....mmmm.
Filled car with expensive fuel.
Bought red grapes - yummy.
Took little Dharma dog to the park for a poop between rain showers. Picked poop up, put it in the poop bin. Tick - good citizen!
Had tomato on toast for dinner accompanied by cup of tea.
Off to bed to read trashy novel and contemplate my navel...
Nightie night, NL.It is not what we do, but how much love we put into the doing.

haven't read back undies, but I have just made a fool of myself on an (unknown) Sydney radio station!!
So I'm sitting here in my jammies, listening to Happy's link to "Shaft" (great link Happy - has me in stitches every time I watch it) and the phone goes. 7:30 on a Sunday morning. My immediate thought is that it is the rest home and that something has gone terribly wrong with mum overnight. Instead, it is a bloke with a very pronounced Aussie accent, saying that I'm live on Sydney radio in a quiz called "the early bird catches the worm", and that if I can answer five questions correct I'll win $5000. The first question was "in what movie does Tom Cruise mix cocktails" and I had no idea :H:H I got dumped at that point and I'm sure the announcer will have gone on to make insulting comments about NZers.Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

I just heard a while ago on the news here about flooding near Sydney and I wanted to say that I hope that any MWO members and their families in the area get to dry land. Well, anyone in the area but especially the peeps that we know from the forum. Does anyone live in the area affected by the flooding? Hope you are all safe and sound.:lFor every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Just me, again, being a doody-head. (I :H every time I see that or think about that. TY Missy!) Thanks, Frog, for asking about the nephew. The boot project is moving along. They're actually for his wedding in April, but that still means that the boot-maker put him at the front of his 2-3 year waiting list. Very cool. And did I tell you that the Gorilla-gram hit the target, dead-on!
When I Skyped with him a month or so ago, he said, "you guys need to come down here." I replied, "Yeah, I know. That's one of the reasons I'm so happy you're there. Auz and NZ have been on my list of places to go for a long time. Now I WILL!" He said, "No, that's not what I mean. I mean, you all (his family) should move here. The vibe is so much more 'you,' and easier, and more fun."
So - as the elders head, in their various, confabulating ways, onward . . . I'm sure that his mom and I will head that way in the not too distant future to "feel" what he's talking about.
Hey, Ragsy, G-bloke, and others exploring the Buddhistic, mindful spaces, here's a link to one of the omniverses most resplendent treasure-trove of jewels -"dharma talks" by Western teachers. They come, primarily, from the talks that teachers at Spirit Rock Meditation Center near San Francisco record when they lead retreats. You can search by teacher or by subject . . . really astounding resource. Highly recommend anything from Wes Nisker, especially the "Be Here Wow," talks, and, of course any of the many from Jack Kornfield. Dharma Seed
Very practical. Insightful. Fun. Helpful. Like that . . . :happyheart:"Wherever you are is the entry point." --Kabir

How on Earth did they get your number???
That would scare the crap out of me first thing in the morning.
And the answer to the question is "Cocktail". When I answered the phone I had Mrs Google open in front of me. Why didn't I just look it up?????
And why am I feeling so inadequate about not being able to answer a question that I dont care about the answer to at 7:30 on a Sunday morning from a Sydney radio talk-back host???????Never give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
