Just working quite a few days. Have tomorrow to work too. The manager that's taking over for me while I am on leave wants to let go of my staff because they are older. I am going to try and make it so that she can't get rid of anyone. There is only 5 staff, all have been there between a year and 4 years. Anyways, I can only do so much, but it is wrong to fire someone who is good at their job, just because they want kids who are paid less. Blah!

Anyhoo, not long now. I bought the ice creams on sale at the store today. Like I said, I am happy to eat your sugar shares for another 10 weeks.

Might go vacuum my lawn now!

I hope you've prepped your staff with some unfair dismissal info? or are they casuals who will have slowly diminishing shifts until it isnt worth their while to attempt to stick around? Look out for people but dont forget to look out for yourself too.

Clear head this morning and just needed to say something. Yesterday was stressful for a few reasons. The thought to drink wasnt for any other reason than to escape the stress. But i figure if I keep using that as an opt out I'll never have a life. A while ago I thought I was wasting my time here if I didnt decide to make a decision to stay off the grog. Decision was made and I am still here, reporting in, reading and changing. This is what works for me now.

I think that is it - off me soapbox....resuming normal programming now. Really pissed off with us because of yesterday, we forgot to lock the chooks in.....FFS they were up and about this morning already when I went down. Never done that before and wont do it again.

Thinking of you while I was doing my yoga too this morning Sunny. Local video shop sells Reeses but the rule is I have to run there if I want to eat some...not happened yet...

Question....walking dog this morning and clicked - chooks out last night, dog let out for morning business, no poo in sight - is there some sort of witholding period there? Given 7 chooks/2-3 eggs a day and no guarantee the poo eaters are the layers? Whats the story? Do I just go and buy the C-C-C-combatrin now?

Morning undies, from a stunningly beautiful Sydney. Thank you to the undie magician who reponded to my "can you fix the weather for my nephew's wedding" comment. Whoever it was :thanks: as the day couldn't t be more perfect!!! It always amazes me what skills various undies have up their sleevies:H

I am so glad for daylight savings to be over!! Bridge I'm going to join you on the sugar-free thing as from tomorrow - went to the GP before I left and she reckons that sugar-free and acid-free is the way to go for arthritis. I'm not too bad on the sugar most of the time, but I'll give it a go to see if it makes a difference as my arthritic hip has been quite sore over the last week.

Happy, that sounds like some serious gardening!! All those bulbs are going to look glorious come spring!! I'm going to leave planting mine until after out house painting has been finished - which should be the week after Easter.

Any-hoo, better go and prepare myself for an afternoon and evening with 10 members of my family. Some of it will be a challenge, but I'll have the bonus of seeing lots of my nieces and nephews, including one from New York who I haven't seen for about 5 years

Rags, I'll give you a bell tomorrow, once the mayhem is over!!

I've been doing the cutdown for only 48 hours and I have some pretty astonishing things to report about that.......

1. Woke up at 5:20 am this morning. Slept like a log, woke up more refreshed that I have in weeks.Didn't have an afternoon pass out nap yesterday, and didn't feel like going straight back to sleep on arising this morning
2. Sinuses were clearer that they have been in weeks.
3. Back and feet are not aching for the first time....you guessed it...in weeks.
4. I'd like to think that my head is clearer, but that would be a lifetime first

Really think I'm onto something here. Have been doing a bit of reading about sugar addiction, renowned in alcoholics, and consequences of it ie: thyroid and adrenal stress, candida overgrowth, hormonal fluctuation.

All I've done is cut way down on sugar and coffee, and started taking quite large doses of acidphilus/bifidus. A good quality one. Oh and they suggest treating for intestinal worms just in case. Noice.

My backpain/ stiffness has been so bad over the last month that I was roolly starting to wonder if you know what I mean.......almost 'fixed' over night.
