    So sorry, Jan. Things like that take a toll, like the 50+ year friend I lost today. It doesn't matter how close we are to a person, but this kind of death seems to diminish all somewhat. A 25 y/o? I wouldn't housetrain another of those for blood or money!
    Bird, I remember those days of 'I've got to have -------- tomorrow. Mine usually needed to build a spaceship at the last moment. Sometimes, they were just screwed. We can't do it all. Have a good sleep.
    Fen, I have been crocheting for a lifetime it seems. I can knit, but don't like to. I applaud your efforts at this, it IS calming. Remember Rosie Grier, the gigantic football player? He did needlepoint or something to stay calm and pass idle time. There's a pattern I really want, been looking at for a couple years, for a round, stained glass-looking afghan, and I'm gonna order it. Just nice to have a project to carry along. Is your sis going to teach you the granny square? You can do so much with them, but I love the afgans. They look so comforting and homey.
    Off to iron Hubs new shirt for his meeting in another city tomorrow. Can't believe I'm still awake!

              morning well its raining yaaaaa we need it and it feels great outside not too hot and not too cold just right and cats woke me up so guess ill have to find something to do ... enjoy and thankx for the number but still can use 4 more sets ... if anyone feels good about what numbers they like .. send them ... welllater gators love and big hugs

                I am very sorry to hear about your friend MB, suicide is really horrendous and so hard to come to terms with.

                Ruby, I have to say, I have never, in my whole life seen a person who has lost so many friends and family in the past few years as you. My heart goes out to you and your many losses, that cannot easy to deal with on a constant level. Strength to you. x

                  Fen - it's so weird for me...just last week we were laughing and cutting up, and today she is being cremated and there is no service...it seems like Poof...she never existed.

                      I think it's extra hard when there's no service. Just a blurb in the obits. At least with a service or a wake, there's a sense of finality.

                        Glad you're getting some much needed rain, Rog! We are having a record high temp day...up to 77 degrees. Unheard of in WI at this time of year.

                          Hello, mah peeps! I just received an email from Sun. She is safe and sound in her native land and says hi to all. Her Auntie's computer is very slow, so she's not spending much time on it. :h

                            Back. Thank you all for your condolences. It's been an emotionally hard decade. Loss after loss. It's par I guess when you come from an aging, large extended family and friend circle. We're a tight community, everyone used to know everyone. It was said that the sheriff when I was a girl knew everyone in the county, and when someone new came here. My friend who was diagnosed with MS before me is not doing well, but her onset was hard and sudden, unlike me who can manage mine as long as I know my limitations.
                            It's terrible when friends and family aren't allowed a greiving period. SIL's aunt died from cancer at home, and her husband had her taken directly to the motuary and cremated. The end. Her sister told me she had a hard time coming to terms with it, so later they took her ashes to their mountain cabin and had their own ceremony as they scattered her into the water. They also left a memorial their to visit later. She said it really helped her. The husband didn't participate.
                            Thanks for the update Fen. Just hope she's really having fun.
                            Dental surgery scheduled in 3 weeks with a surgeon. Something great to look forward to.

                              You must be seriously sick and tired of going to funerals Ruby, It must be so depressing to have to mourn so many people. I suppose it is even worse if they don't have a funeral, that is rare in Ireland. I mean people still die of course, just not so many at the one time that you know well but then again Ireland is such a small country.
                              I really hope the rest of the year is quieter for you, it must be soul destroying to have people close to you dropping like flies. I just can't imagine what that must be like
