Quick hello - I'm at work and can't stay on. I haven't heard anything else from ATL. Has anyone else?

Popped my pill this morning. So, there you go. Conflicted feelings about it but that will pass in a few days. Mama - I had the talk yesterday with my hubby that I don't have the normal mindset of alcohol. No normal drinking for me.

Don't feel like working today. YUCK!! Had horrible nightmares all night!! Rats in the bed was just one dream.

I got an email from ATL last night. She has a terrible migraine, which is what amped up her b.p., most likely. What they gave her for the pain isn't working at all- she needs to see another doc and get something that will knock out the pain.

Rats in bed? That's worse than mama's Brad Pitt nightmare!

No, Fen, I haven't heard from ATL, and I worry about her. She seems to try to handle so much alone, and she's been through so much. I'll keep watching and trying. Everyone else, lets us know if you get word, please.

Rubes, I did hear from ATL. She's in a lot of pain (migraine) and hoping to get that addressed. I can't imagine anything worse than a migraine.

Nora, I hope Scott gets out of that book what J did. We really had a rough patch before she realized that I couldn't just have a couple when she dictated. Now she asks if I will be okay if we go to a fancy place to eat. I have been pleasantly surprised the two times I have gone out- it was really nice, after all!

Fen, I remember when that stuff was going on with ya'll and how you were frustrated (her parent's parties, etc) so it's wonderful she's 'seen the light', so to speak. I'm sure that's taken such a burden off you, made you feel less like an outcast in public since you have her support. That's a wonderful thing, and I'm so happy for you both.
ATL and her migraines is very troubling. After the severity of her head injury, and knowing she won't take certain drugs for the attacks after her battles to get off them in the past, I don't know what to suggest to her but a pain management center that can monitor her meds and keep her more pain free. I know I have constant, daily pain, some days worse than others, but I'm so much better than I was 10 years ago when I just suffered or the docs thought I was a drug seeker. I'm sure she, like me, would be much happier never having to take a med, but sometimes it's what we do to function. Just hope she gets the right help. I'm living proof of what long-term high BP will do to your heart.

Thanks Fennel. We had a long talk yesterday and I think he's getting it. I explained to him that I can't have a drink or two.....I'm always thinking ahead to the next one. Got to make sure I have enough because one is never enough.

Nora, run away to my house and we can hide in so many places no one will find us. I'll keep all the creepy cralies away as I'm not the least askeered of them.
Just got word an old guy near me who used to raise and sell Rottie pups has an 'accidental' litter imminent(he didn't want to fool with breeding anymore) and I can come and have the pick of the litter, and as many as I want. I've seen pictures of the parents and they look a lot like TMB, so that would be great. Not sure I'm ready to be a new mommy yet, but in 8 weeks I can be. Must puppy proof everything again and get out my door gates, but that's no biggie after living with Satan all these years. It will be so groovy having pups to play with and train again, though I'm quite sure TMB will be slightly disconcerted. BTW, when I moved my old living room couch out it went as far as the back porch, for the immediate future I thought. But TMB has claimed it so we have a true redneck porch with a big hound on an old couch.
