I have been single too long hahah....Atl that is great about the trip...was talking to my friend at work today telling him I wanted to do something nice for my 1 kid while the other is gone on band trip next week, like maybe get her eyebrows waxed or something...anyway I went to the john and on the way back he called me over and gave me a check for 400$..said use it on the kids...I refused but he insisted (have known him 30+years)...so we are trying to decide what to do. So far ideas, day spa, tablet, new wii controller and game, trip to atlanta, trip to savannnah, going crazy at grocery store, clothing...hmmm any good ideas for teen girls? Also will be planning a special dinner for our generous friend...

Also I entered my daughter in the drum contest I am in. I did not tell her yet, since she was worried she sucked, which she doesnt. I am afraid to tell her she is in cuz she might get mad at me!!!

Maybe, MB, but you too are not that messed up. Kids can be fixed unless they have dire emotional issues. You spent a lot of time in a bad place, and we were so lucky to get Ry young. Tip has spent so much time on him, and we never make him feel he's different. In fact, now he brags about having another g'mother, and that makes him feel special. And she realizes he's been given a tremendous gift away from his family's lifestyle. He used to throw tantrums, and Tip asked me if I thought it was a result of his birth problems. I told her 'no, he's just learned how to push your buttons'. Smart boy.
Bird, you are loved by people that know you. I'm 45 minutes from ATL, and there are great parks nearby, so you're welcome to bunk in with us to save money if you decide on a trip. So many great things to do in ATL, like the aquarium, zoo, High Art museum, Fernbank, 6-Flags, the waterpark. You can stay busy for weeks there.

Rubes-- if you have time-- can you pm me and tell me about the pain management and what they do, why etc? It is a whole different world for me that doctors cant just prescribe for what they think their patients need. When you say strict what do you mean? You can tell I have a distrust of doctors but also I am confused as to why peoPle with documented conditions that bother to go to specialists are made to feel like drug seeking junkies. So I need your wisdom-- maybe if I understood I would be able to manage my health better.

Not sure what got into hubs. Maybe he is buttering me up because he made plans for us with his friend and wife and I detest the wife- she is the one I call the ball busting hag. Whatever it is-- I am psyched-- I know it is so juvenile but I love Aerosmith! I always do a dance tO the Other Side that embarrasses Luke and Mark.

Sun-- if you had 2 days in London-- do you have anything that is toP top of your list? I have some books for both places (Ireland and England). Still headacy today but not totally awful. I just pray I can piece the days together to be a better mom but to accomish my own selfish goals

Hey Rubes - how are you doing? How is the dental work going? Did they have to stop it until they got your other health issues sorted? How are all your appts going? You were going to lots when I left - what is happening with them all now?

I am feeling a lot better re the jet lag - still can't believe how long it took me to get over it! But today was my second day back at work and the day was fine, thank goodness. Right back into the swing of things!

Rubes - loved hearing the story about your grandson. I know that we were blessed when our son joined our lives. He was 5 months old.

Felt crummy all day so ended up staying home & slept till 1:00. That's going to create problems at work now. Oh well - I'll work Saturday and make up for it.

ATL I'll do that tomorrow. As for strict he requires 1 drugstore you use to discursge drug seekers, and to be notified of all new meds you're given for the same reason. I now get mine by mail for 6 months at a time so I don't have to deal with suspicious pharmacy peeps who have no idea why you take the meds, just pass judgment. Without it my bp goes sky high since my body feels like it has the flu constantly. He's very understanding and would rx me more but I try to be conservative. Don't need a drug habit too. But I do believe Doc Kevin can help you. You can use my name as a reference. You can call me if you want and I'll give you all the details if you want. It is a a shame druggies have made things harder, but docs and drugstores keep a list of the abusers. I'll be in touch if you don't call but I'll need your full name for a recommendation. He's a friend and I know with your history he'll take you.
