Just to say hello to all MWO people - I haven't logged on here for ages but I am so glad the site is here and going strong. I am ONE YEAR AND SIX DAYS SOBER TODAY - and THAT is a true miracle - and I got there by not having a drink ONE DAY AT A TIME. It's been a special time - I was in the thick of things in the major earthquake where many lives were lost on February 22 last year - and that's what mainly kicked my arse into STAYING sober. I opened a bottle four days after the 'quake, (no sleep, no water, no nothing) and had a sip and then tipped the rest out. WHAT USE WOULD I BE TO ANYBODY IN ANOTHER MAJOR QUAKE IF I WAS THE DRUNKEN MESS THAT WOULD DEFINITELY HAPPEN IF I FINISHED THAT FIRST DRINK?? That question is the one I ask myself if I get anywhere near tempted - which fortunately doesn't happen often. A special hello to CY, Oney, Starts, Guitarista, Limers and all you beautiful people who were here for me when I started my MWO journey four or so years ago. Thanks - I love you all : Hugs from bikini bottom x x x x xKap:thanks::thanks::h

Ahoy to all your beautiful people
For sure, especially the emotional boy/girl (or whatever!) ones...I've been on my own for most of my latest sobriety - I'm sure that's the main reason why I haven't 'slipped' - and seriously too! It's usually relationships with men in my past that would lead me back to drink (for many reasons - good and bad), and I have a good network of sober mates. Life was quite lonely for a while though, having to stay away from negative influences. My kids are great thanks!! Jakey is one week away from an Army graduation of sorts & Jord is doing mechanics and living at home here with his girlfriend of about a year. they're lovely!! A really nice couple of young people - quite a miracle in itself lol. I hope you're navigation going fairly smoothly darl, and the horizon is looking bright...

Hey Kapo!
It is just great to see you again, but even more special that you are over 1 year sober and sound like you're kicking goals. Are you making music?
All the very best to you and the kids.

Ahoy to all your beautiful people
Great to hear your son is making music and getting it out there.
I'm very well here thanks. I went back to test the waters drinking last year, but i didn't like it overall, and i'm much happier with the sober life. Much more fun. It was a necessary, and positive experience for me (and a dangerous one). Making a lot of music live, and just back from a gig this arvo. Working on 3rd album and wanting that to be out mid year. Will p.m. you some links beautiful woman!
