Can ask a question? Alot of you seem to have a healthy sobriety, I can see from your posts and lke what you got but wondering how long did it take for you to start trusting yourselves again, when did your sense of self start leveling out?

          Yoooooooooo hooooooooo Pinkerooo,

Ooh we'll have a sober St Paddy's Day party for ya, Red.

Jan, we know you're hearts breaking. But for now concentrate getting yourself physically and mentally healthy. I promise you once you get yourself sorted things will get better.

I've just paid the milkman and would you believe had a big long chat about Molls hens. I'm now getting a delivery of free range eggs once a week.
That's good news Jackie. I buy eggs from the bakery once in a while but I have no idea if they are free range or not. I just know that they are supposedly fresher than the ones you buy at the supermarket. There are a lot of people around here with chooks. And there is one especially annoying rooster nearby that crows at the most ungodly hours. Like 2 and 3 and 4a.m. Stupid thing doesn't know that it's not daylight then or anywhere close to it. It's okay during the winter when the doors and windows are closed but the summer nights when the bedroom windows and doors are open drives me :nutso:.

Sugarbeat - I don't believe we've met. :hallo: to you too.

Jan, I'm glad you came back and read the posts and realized the tone they are written in. It is very difficult for all of us to see you post what you did and put up an avatar like that and then disappear. We have our limit too, seeing as we are so far away from you and feeling helpless, knowing that you are hurting and struggling, and we can't really do anything to help you except posting here. Ollie was supposed to be in Bonnie's custody until today, if I'm not mistaken. What happens now?

              hi J.C and stirly

I have more control over the modding now, had a few drinks this week and been ok, just seeing how it goes, one step at a time

That's what I did. I started posting the day Starts had her 1st anniversary AF and basically wanted what she had.

Funnily enough me and Molls were talking about this at the weekend. It was fairly quick this time round the block probably about 6 weeks. I was in counselling at the time and being sober meant I had a straight head and started talking honestly and openly.

I also decided to make absolutely no major changes in my first year of sobriety. In the big blocks of sobriety I'd had before I was always off on another hair brained scheme like charity work, grand knitting plans, deciding to do a degree, become an astronaut. So I put them on the back burner and literally just took baby steps and celebrated milestones like having the garage roof repaired and not loosing the plot.

Hope you all are having a great Monday (well as good as it can be cause how could Monday be that great anyways

You all are from so many places that I have to stay up 24 hours a day to figure out what you're doing.

Well have to get back to work.
:goodjob: on almost a year AF. Fantastic!!

As for us being in many places, most of us are within three time zones or total of two hours difference in time. Most of the Army are in the UK, Expatty, in Paris, Tipster in Cape Town, Lady Jan in the Canary Islands and me in Greece. Tipster and I are in the same time zone, Patty is an hour behind us and the UK two hours. Then of course there's Zenstyle in Florida which is 7 hours behind me, 5 hours behind the UK. But since she's usually around until the birds are up here, we consider her to be in our time zone as well.
