Hi Flip, it's really nice to hear how things can just happen like that. I have know idea what sober sex is like but I hear it's great, personally it would take a long time and lots of trust before I got my kit off sober, which can only be a good thing. I think you should continue to enjoy eachothers company, it might be months before you feel ready to make the next step or you may feel clearer about not taking it further.

So just brace yourself and just be safe and dont sign over financial stuff, or let him like move in or start supportin him or anything. Keep your self as finacially protected as possible cuz thats hard to build back up and really pisses ya off when ya get taken. Sadly but true....broken hearts can be mended (havent they before...maybe a few times) and thats just the risk of love. And DAMMIT ya wont know if ya dont give it a try.

So I think have fun, protect your check book and use condoms.

Hmmm sober sex!

Well i had my first sober date in over a year on sat and altho we didn't have sex we did a lot of heavy petting!!! and i have to say it was amazing...and its so much nicer the next day when you can remember it all...in the past i would have had no recollection of anything but now i get little butterflies in my tummy every time i think of us kissing. You can do it and believe me its well worth it, you'll wonder what you were so worried about...its lovely. Listen to me waffling on in the glow of my new bloke...lol!!! just trust your instincts and go with what feels right x x x

Well everyone, just a quick update.... the long talks about life, death and alcohol continue, we have seen each other EVERY DAY and last night he suggested going away for the weekend....I told him I needed to check my diary! (how's that for a lame line!)

What you don't know is that he lives with his father and I have two teens at home so there is nowhere for us to be alone - ever..... I guess this will be the moment of truth!

Latest update for those that are still interested....

Spent 5 hours riding to our destination on Saturday and arrived at a friend's house for a quick catch up and a meal before trying to find a hotel for the night before they all shut (small Aussie towns don't have a night desk after 10pm). We got a double room and had a joke about who was sleeping on the sofa.... headed back to the main street and had gellato and coffee until late... went back to the hotel, had a shower and hopped into bed... I guess the rest is history.... sober sex is great! :whee:
