Dearest Em.
I am thinking and praying for your son and all the other children fighting the war instigated by people who should be in an insane asylam.
We never learn from history. What happened to the "war to end all wars".
Did all the victims of WWII die for nothing? We cannot continue to fight every negative occurrence with agression, it simply does not work.

Our planet is a very small and fragile one and we are all global citizens. Let's not vote for people who send our children to their death. Perhaps the time has come to resurrect societies that are run by maternal leaders.
The sword is not a solution to our everchanging problems.
I ranted, raved and protested in the 60th, we can do it again. We are mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, fathers, brothers, grandfathers and we have power. We have the power to oust the people who do us and our families harm.
Sorry, but I get so very angry at being in such a helpless situation. Everytime I watch CNN I am foaming at the mouth at such insanity.

So sorry to hear Donnie is going back over there. I do admire his commitment to his comrads... but this is such a sad situation.
My nephew was home for the Holidays, it was wonderful to see him, he seems so much older, and different now.
He's back in Texas now & hopefully wont be re-deployed. But with "W- Duh" in the white house, it's not looking good.
Stay strong ... thoughts and prayers are with you.

I completely understand what your son feels and how he is committed to his buddies. His loyalty is a bond that is truly beautiful. I wish he didnt have to go back for your sake and his. With God's speed lets pray for his and all of our troops safe return home.

I would be very interested in sending care packages to his unit. Can you post his mail route or PM it to those of us that would like to send care packages?

I hate war ,if women were runing these countries there would be no wars, there might be a lot of bitching and fighting between them,but i am sure we wouldnt decide to blow the shit out of everything to prove a point, this war has been going on to long. I too would hate to send my son to fight over there, thank god he is to young yet, lets pray it is over before he is old eought . How can these people destroy these places, soon there will be nothing left to fight for. I worry eough for my son safty just going to cronulla beach over here.
