I have been smiling while reading all these. Wow way to go Owl! I have found a lot of things making me feel good these days. Today my oldest son (12) came up to me and gave me a hug and kiss for no reason, or so I thought, then proceeded to ask me to get him a slushy while I was up town. I will take a hug and kiss any time I can now because with his age I don't get to many.

Nice thread Lou.
We have a grand-daughter, our first. She is 82 days old. When I walk into the room and talk, she smiles the most gorgeous smile for a few seconds, then carries on thinking whatever about whatever babies think about.
That makes me happy.

The smile on my doggie's face while he's running full board on the beach, in & out of the water, up & down the dunes, straight at me, & then dodging me at the last second. And of course the sparkle off of the water as waves roll in to the beach. I really love standing at cliffs at Otter Point and watching the water crashing thru the tunnels down below the cliffs, it's such an adrenalin rush!

Well it'll do till kayak season is here!...:H

All this talk about babies/children is making me broody.

Well what made me smile this morning is when I looked in the mirror. No more blood-shot eyes, puffy face and pale colour.

Secondly, I swore today. I used to swear a lot at my old workplace (along with another colleague of mine who used the F-word after each word). So when I started my new job (in October 06) I made a conscious effort to stop. Well, when I did swear my collegue looked at me with utter disbelief and said "Are you having a bad day? It is so unlike you to swear". So that made me happy.

I have a Mutts Calendar and I follow the Comic strip oftenly in the Chicago Tribune when I remember to buy it. I also subscribe to the Sunday Comic strip of Mutts on my LiveJournal blog. I just love Earl and Mooch. They are pals in a way and remind me of my dogs in a way........

My nanna, whom i live with is almost better after all her ops....she is truly a fighter and at 76 still manages to wind me up at every opportunity....she still goes through the bags i put in the bin to see if there are any alcohol related things in there....well today she said she was proud of me and that made me so happy as i know iv made her happy by lifting a huge weight off her mind.
