Yeap you all read the title right. Today is my ten month AF anniversary. It was ten months ago that I started this quit and I want to thank everyone who have helped me get to where I am. I started this site in June 2009 and I want to thank everyone for hanging in there for me to cheer on the good times and help me through the bad times. I feel so alive. I felt alive before, but I drag the AL chain around and it was not easy. Now I removed the AL chain and I feel free. No more worrying about the money to drink, or when I get to drink, and all the bad stuff that AL brings. I no longer urn for the next drink and I live my life with no worry about what time it is and to make sure that I start drinking at a certain time so I can get good and drunk by 2 am. So glad to have those days gone. Now I can concentrate on the sober me and that is so much better then the old me. For those who are new and/or struggling, don't be afraid to reach out and get help. Fight to remain sober because trust me, it does get easier the longer that you do it. There are now times when I don't even think of AL (and when I do think of it, I don't want it). I know that I would not have been able to get to this point if I did it by myself and/or kept it to myself. I find this quit eaiser then other quits because I didn't do it on my own, and I let my family and friends know that I have quit.
