      Army Thread thursday 22nd March

Good morning Janners, Expatty, Tipperoooooo, Reccybear, Our Whizzy, Zenners, Fireyfoxy, Oners,Mollymoo and all those yet to drop by

Aww Zenners, poor Cheryl. Let her know that a whole bunch of people around the world are thinking of her and her family.

Good luck today, Jan. Hope the outcome is the best for all those concerned.

Whizzy, will have a proper lewk at the Glamara thingy later on, but wouldn't it be cool to see the elusive Reccybear.

Give Mia another :l from Black Bess.

Ooh yes and the scan. Hoping they'll actually find something wrong so they can do something about it. Only problem today is I'm on water from 10am until it's done.

Incheroo full reportage of the counselling session please even if you sat there and said nothing.
It could be worse, I could be filing.

        Army Thread thursday 22nd March

        Hello Troopers!!

Zen, so sorry to hear about Cheryl and her family. Crikey, that's an awful lot to deal with at once. Good that she has you to help her get through times like this. I will have Cheryl and her family in my thoughts and prayers.

Jackie - best of luck with the scan. Hopefully they'll get you right as rain ASAP.

Oney - glad to hear that Mia and you got some sleep. Hope she's feeling much better very soon. A :huggy from me, too.

Mrs. A - what the others said - rest and don't try to push yourself too soon. Your body needs time to heal.

Jan - what Jackie said - I hope things turn out the best for all of you, but especially for Ollie. That is really what is most important here, his physical and mental well-being.

Inchy - please let us know how things went with the counsellor.

:wavin: to all the rest of the Army. Hope you all have a productive day.

        Back to work.

              Army Thread thursday 22nd March

Good Morning All - I'm baaaaaack. I am so sorry to hear of all the suffering as of late. Damn. Sending positive vibes out to everyone.

Working from home today which is a good thing as I need to spend my lunch hour going to the party store for my daughters 13th birthday party! 13. My Lord. A little Waggy catch up since I have been gone a while:

It has been insane around here....both older girls are in two different musicals. The younger one's opening night for The King and I is Friday and every night this week she has not been to bed till 11 pm which is very hard on her (and my husband and I but he is a great help with pick ups and drop offs!). She was a wreck this morning. Poor dear. My eldest daughter is in "Anything Goes" and that opens next week. Between the rehersals, spending money on the tickets, visiting colleges (OMG!!!!!!) and keeping up with the five year old, my head is spinning. Plus my company was purchased and they layed off half the field force. I feel like I am walking on eggshells at work now. I don't like the feeling of waiting for the other shoe to drop. The fact that I was drinking a bit recently made everything seem more overwhelming. Why I thought to do that is absolutely beyond me. But I am back on track .

Reading the posts about all these terrible things and the stressors happening to everyone makes my heart hurt. Sometimes I think it is the universe testing us to see if we are as strong as we should be.

Anyway, I will check back in later. I am very happy to be back and think you are all wonderful.
              February 27th, 2013. A New , Successful Start. :h

                  Army Thread thursday 22nd March

                  Afternoon guys

The army and it's extended family have really been in the wars lately, haven't we?

That's awful, all the misfortune that's happening in Cheryl's family, zenny. How much sadness can one person be expected to take?

Best of luck to jan, foxy, inchy and jackie with your appointments today. Please update us whenever you can. Inchy, I'm thinking that your first appointment may possibly just be an assessment appointment with little real counselling going on.....that's what sometimes happens.

Good that you are taking it easy today, Mrs A. I definitely don't want to say anything that could possibly encourage you to stop taking it easy, but what effect will your accident have on your plans for the London marathon?

I ordered a 4+ season sleeping bag overnight for my planned hiking trip in the Lakes, so I am serious about making it happen. It would be lovely to meet up with you and panno and anyone else (JC?) who may be coming, whizzy, but I suspect that my social anxiety will get in they way. The elusive reccybear is still very reclusive although he's working on it. We'll see.

Managed to get about 3 hours sleep this morning and I'm off to see my AL worker in 2mins. I think this will be the last time I see him in his current capacity as the place where he works is closing down and he will be losing his job owing to local government cuts. Very likely I will continue to see him in a private capacity, maybe once a fortnight instead of once a week to keep the costs down.

Hope your back is feeling better soon, zenny. I know how nightmarish back problems can be. They don't usually cure themselves after a couple of days. Keep using that thermal thingy, zen, you seem to like it! .

Good wishes to mia, oney, She's had a lot of illness lately, hasn't she.

Apologies to anyone I've missed, got to go to my appoinment.

Hi waggy, great to see you

                    Hi Recluse
                    Nice post as usual.

I will still be doing the London Marathon but probably not as fast as I had hoped. Anyway I have a cast iron excuse.
Good luck with your appointment and let us hope your social anxiety thingy can move as fast as your massive change on here:h

I've got to look at the finances again before I make a decision on the weekend. Maybes I could share Reccy's tent.
