    Alcohol and Calorie counter !

I have to admit, one of THE best perks for giving up AL, was all the empty calories I was taking in.

I was "averaging" at least 1000 calories a night, 7 nights a week...that puts my number of saved calories at 327,000! Weeeeech....of course the daymed cookies are a close second....but so far, no trips to the ICU because I ate too many. Two steps forward, four steps back I guess :H

I agree Nelz...so nice to not have those empty, useless BAD calories in our daily intake anymore, isn't it? I calculated a bottle of red at about 1,000 calories and I almost always had AT least a whole bottle to myself and then some....yikes! As a result, I have lost about 8-10 lbs since I stopped cold turkey a little over a month ago. That paired with working out and low carb, low sugar diet have totally changed my body, for the good. I'm never going back to feeling bloated and sad again because of AL. It does nothing but BAD!

Not to mention that on top of the empty calories, AL changes your metabolism and makes it difficult to burn off. I need to get batteries for my scale! I haven't weighed since I quit AL. Clothes still seem to fit the same tho.

It's really interesting to know the calories that are in alcohol, I think a lot of people aren't aware how many are in just a small beer for example.
