        Evening army. Beautiful day here so warm and sunny. I spent the afternoon in the garden cut the grass did some wedding and potted some primulas. I'm nackered now and watching come dine with me on c4. Still a lovely evening. Ahh cute pic of tigger and pal. How is your hip Zen and how are doing off the fags? Get well soon anon don't worry bout the marathon other events will come up. Hello to everyone else and hope you have a nice evening.

              Evening all,

              Had the most wonderful moment at work today.

              While I was putting up some new leaflets on the shelves I was having a bit of a chit chat to one of the girls who was waiting for the women's group to start. You know just general chit chat when she went very quiet. I just said quietly if she needed to talk, her eyes filled with tears and she said yes.
              I asked if she wanted a hug. We had a hug and she said that her drinking had got way out of control. Goodness me I feel so happy she's finally opened up.

              Anyhoo a lot happier bunny went home knowing that she'll get all the support she needs.

              Oh and we both got our nails done in the women's group as it was a pamper day.

              Off to read back now.

                Good Afternoon Xpat, Tip, FF, Mario, SG, O2M, Zen, Molly, Anon, Recluse, Wagoneer, Pingu and LG! (I hope I got everyone)

                Welcome Library Girl - I had been wondering about some of the Nesters, if they ever test thier wings. So happy to see you doing so well and getting stronger!!:goodjob:

                We have been having a beautiful spring here and I am loving it (cept for the bees that have come out early)

                Pingu - absolutely adorable pic. Watch out cause the time goes by so fast, savor every moment (aint that the great thing about being sober).

                Wagoneer - good for you for dumping out the wine. My biggest relief when I quit last year was when I gave away my alcohol. It was theraputic and I had no reservations or regret. I don't keep any alcohol in the house either. I have no desire to drink but no reason to test that either.

                For those of you with sleeping issues, I started taking Melatonin (along with 5 HTP and Calms Forte) last week. Before the Melatonin I took Calms Forte but I was starting to get sleeping issues again earlier this month. After 1 week now taking these 3 at night, I sleep like a baby. AMAZING!

                A special thanks to JC, SG, Zen and Pingu - I appreciate that you each have taken the time to reach out personally to me. I can't express enough how much that means to me. I have been on the boards for almost 2 years and I guess I didn't realize how much personal connections here could really mean. I have said it to each of you and I just want all of you here to know, you are the most supportive and amazing people I have met here. I often wonder how you all could find the time to do all this and still have a life outside the boards - do you all have jobs:H (JK)

                  JC you are an amazing person. A hug and an ear is all that is needed sometimes, I guarantee that made a huge difference in her day and I bet in her future.

                    Evening all!

                    Not stopping for long. Having vacuumed the car, I decided to go the whole hog and wash it. I daren't admit how many years it is since it was last washed but you'd need to use radioactive carbon dating to get a rough idea of the age of the mud. :upset: Anyway, I'm half way through washing it so have to go back out again in a minute.

                    Bet you feel good Jackie....must be a lovely feeling to be able to help like that. :l

                    And molly, good to have you back, even though you've only been gone a couple of days. How was your trip and did you get any pics for us?

                        Waggers,hun. The likes of us alkies will feel guilty whether it's one beer or a 100 beers. Glad you got rid on that chardonnay . If it had been me I'd have obsessed about the fecking thing all day and drank it as soon as I walked in the door.

                        Our Whizzy, get well soon. This must be very painful and frustrating for you.:l

                          I'm not sure how I'm feeling apart incredibly glad that there was that tiny wee window of opportunity for her to talk. That time on a Wednesday the reception is usually heaving.
