Something fundamentally wrong with eating frogs. And their heads particularly.

What a good locust to come home bearing chocolate gifts!

Having had a fair bit to do with Vietnam vets, I'm staying up late tonight to watch ABC now. Catch you tomorrow.

I'm just starting to discover its virtues. Particularly arse-kicking. It is pretty satisfying "-) Although, Mr B has commented that what I call arse-kicking is simply what other people would call assertiveness :H And I'm re-discovering militancy - but this isn't the forum to express my political views :thanks:

so nice to see you Betty!! I miss your posts and think of you quite a lot as one of my cats is called Betty and I often call her Boo

Nice weather today, which I'm very grateful for, as it means the painters will be back. I'm a bit sick of looking out the window at scaffolding. Weather forecast is good for the next couple of days, so hopefully they will break the back of it within the week.

Hope all undies have a lovely day!!

Hiya Rags, well lets see, no tulips up yet. Do have daffys, snowdrops, blue drops and cowslips up for a couple of weeks now. Actually I bought a couple of french lavender plants at the weekend, almost in bloom.

Hi KTAB, (one of our most treasured internationalistas!)

I haven't paid a lot of attention to my garden this year - am waiting for the painters to finish before I get stuck in. But I have some spring bulbs popping up in Autumn! Ranunculus mainly, but also some snowdrops and hyacinths.

I was thinking about all our Irish friends yesterday - there was a programme on the radio that I was listening to in the afternoon which was about survey that had been done 6 months after the Rugby World Cup about the tourism impacts ...... the Irish were our most favorite visitors!

Morning Undies, had plans to be B&I today but I appear to be chained to the toilet so will see what transpires over the next hour this is not part of the plan....anyway its a bit rainy here so in bed for a bit wont kill...

The strawberry plants turned up yesterday so part of the plant is to get the gutters filled with mix and water crystals and the runners. Still waiting on my mushroom box and the bulbs though. Thats two weeks from "gardenexpress", so not so express.

                      Morning Missy, KT and BettyB!

Don't think this brilliant post didn't go unnoticed young lady. Good stuff Happs.

Great to see you Betty, and glad to hear you are good. :h

Missy, if there's nothing i loike doing better, aside from yer snags on a satdee arvo at Bunnings, it's erecting yer scaffolding. I just love getting up there with another big hairy boofy bloke and building platforms. All that banging and crashing, adjusting clamps, laying yer boards......and the view into your bedroom, i mean the view across the street......ah, noice.

                            Here's a little dog tale.

.A guy is driving around the back woods of Tennessee and he sees a sign in front of a broken down shanty-style house: "Talking Dog For Sale."

He rings the bell and the owner appears and tells him the dog is in the backyard.

The guy goes into the backyard and sees a nice looking Labrador retriever >> sitting there.

                            "You talk?" he asks.

                            "Yep," the Lab replies.

... After the guy recovers from the shock of hearing a dog talk, he says "So, what's your story?"

The Lab looks up and says, "Well, I discovered that I could talk whenI was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the CIA. In no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running."

"But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security, wandering near suspicious characters and listening in."

"I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals. I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired."

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

                            "Ten dollars," the guy says.

"Ten dollars? This dog is amazing! Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?"

"Because he's a liar. He never did any of that stuff."
