Underoos, Doodyheads and their Dogs, April

Well Sunny - I watched all that stuff on ringside seats - and I'm left wondering ... who are the winners in all of this? Gotta admit, I've been crabby and sad for days about all that however ... this arvo I played The Eagles double album SOOOOO LOUD that if I had neighbours, they would have reported me to the cops. Not sure I feel any better but it sure got rid of some 'thinking' time.

Still waiting for the bloke to bring me some gas ...

I love the Eagles, saw them in concert 15 years ago.

I don't think anyone wins, I think everyone loses and all the bystanders are affected.
It's funny, I thought my last week of work would be breezy, but there was a situation at work which turned into peoples feelings being misunderstood by the other. Same with hubs and his mom and their emails back and forth. Once we step back words and try and work out a resolution of understanding and moving forward, it is great. But what happens is that things get said, more hurt and resentment is born, and then pretty soon a lot of useless noise is flying around not helping to actual work through the issues and move forward.
Hubs and MIL are back on ok terms because I wrote an email for him just relating that they were both hurtful and both hurt. Stating what was meant vs what came across. People have to want to move forward, many times we are so blinded by our own hurt we think the other person should be coming on over with peace offerings and apologies, but the reality is they often feel just as hurt as we do.

I had to check what was on this album, and realised that I haven't heard Desperado for a few decades, so just have it on in the background now. Thanks Tawny

Wish I could clone my builder guy and put his DNA into your gas guy - waiting that long would make me very grumpy.

I think it is a good idea to stay away from anything going on that is toxic, and I'm sorry that it has stayed with you. I really like the contribution you make to this site :thanks:

Mr B is away and doesn't get in until late tonight ....... I should be working but instead am watching "Coco Avant Chanel" in my big polar fleece dressing gown, with cats on both sides!!

Bridge - thanks for your suggestions and the brain cells are in contemplation mode!! Are there any blue-ish azaleas? Or hydrangeas that are not more than about 1m high? If not, I'll go of a mix of azaleas (cream/lemon colored), ferns and some acqualegias and lobelia around the border.

                Too right SunnyBum.

Missy, if you like your blues like I do, I'll have another think about it. You could try ageratum. Canterbury Bells are purply blue and gorgeous.I keep my hydrangea at home at about 1 metre and it does fine.
If your 8 year old self met you, would they be proud?

I wondered about ageratum as well, and was thinking that Canterbury Bells might be better than the acqualegias because of the wind (i.e.; lower in height). Or might try a mix even. Might just spread some seeds and see what pops up!! But definitely some blue lobelia around the edges and some ferns in blue pots. Azaleas or hydrangeas in the middle, just depending on what is in stock at the garden centre this weekend :-)

Wow!! Never seen these. They are gorgeous!! There is a definite "no-no" about quarantine, but thanks for your kind offer. And I was thinking the front garden is too cold for bulbs, but I might try some hyacinths, as I've had some luck with them flowering early in the back garden.

I have some early morning meetings tomorrow, and will be busy until about lunchtime, so leaving it up to one of you to start the May thread.

                            sleep well all undies!!

You know you can get a pack of mixed blue seeds that might help. I'll see if I can scare up a link.
