I am organising my neighbors - as the painting progresses, we discover "stuff" that needs sorting before the painting can progress. I have an absentee land-person on one side and a gay man of the drama-queen variety on the other. I have had a bath and in my jarmies ready for pizza - thank dog the chief painter bloke is a sensible sort

MB, I scored Pizza last night and have enough for dinner tonight. SO excited as I can't be bothered to cook after work most days.

Techie, how lovely to have hatchlings.

My mind wants to go out on the town tonight with hubs to dinner and the casino for poker. However, the body and the bank account have checked that into the wishful thinking pile!

Right loves.... getting caught up on some paperwork.....
Here is my

Beetroot Relish Recipe

Splash of olive oil and swipe of butter (heat together)
I med sized red onion (dice and soften in oil mix)
2 large beetroot (400gm) grated coursely throw in and cook for 5 mins
Then add:
!/2 cup red wine vinegar
3/4 cup castor sugar
1 cup water
1 cup dried cranberries
1 1/2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
Bring to boil then reduce heat, simmer uncovered for 35 minutes, until thickened.
Put into sterilised jars and seal with lid while hot.

Evening Undies,

So many nice things to reply to but ... I need to thank all of you who made nice comments about my mum. In summary, she is not in any pain but gets terribly upset when she can't recall important details like the names of her grand children. We had our usual half-half hour Sat. morning convo and she fluctuated between utter distress and total delusion. Told me they'd all been moved to another facility in another part of Melbourne overnight. All I could ask her was "is it a nice new room?"

I won't talk about this again because it is what it is. And there's sweet FA anyone can do about it. Just thanks for letting me vent here; I'll now deal with stuff.

Soooo Bridgee, or shall we call you Mizmosaic? What did you get at Bunnings to start the great project?

Happs - might try the bread recipe tomorrow.

G'day Reg, how u going?

Good gig tonight. I had a joyous moment that you get when you've been sober for a bit of time during a guitar solo. It was this feeling of extreme freedom and possibility. Wow. I used to get them a fair bit after a few months, so cool this has returned, and of course there is a good reason for it.

Cool to not be one of the pissed punters. How bloody boring folks were once they'd had a couple.

That circus has left town. Goodnight.
