I got into Edward Monkton through the Pig of Happiness. I bought a Pig of Happiness fridge magnet for a close friend who was moving on from the end of a long term relationship (not her choice). She still has it on her fridge, and credits it with having managed with getting through the pain of separation.

Right, I know it is early, but I'm off to bed with my book! I have a rare evening at home on my own (Mr B at the movies with his boy) , and Betty-puss is being extraordinarily affectionate, so she will probably follow me. PJs tonight are nothing to write home about - old -t:shirt and shorts Sleep well all undies.

Now Undies. Been thinking this arvo. Just on what Tawny said about thinking about how far I'd come this last year. And I reckon, thinking back that so much good stuff, really positive stuff, life changing and all of that sort of thing has happened since I dont drink. Would it have happened if I still was? I really dont know. If our "luck" was about to change I wasnt really aware of it. I just know that the good - and bad - times are clearer and more in focus and life is more satisfying because of that.

I read something somewhere here and I totally agree. I came here looking for someone to give me a magic answer, to solve my problems. I realised not long after that I am the only one who can do that. No one else. I also realise that once I got rid of the chip on my shoulder, the poor me, feel sorry for me attitude the rest has come along easily.

Mmm....thinking makes me hungry....stepping down from my soap box for some caramel slice. Thank you Undies. As always, an absolute pleasure.
