Shhh! Undies - I got up early and made bread, then went back to bed and pretended it must have happened by itself....suffice to say all non believers in the bread fairy...

Sunnyish today and at least the precipitation has ceased - for now...

Time to talk big locust into making banana bread - speshul recipe from someone...oh and I have to finish the work I started yesty.

In a crappy mood today because I ended up having a couple of drinks last night. Not the worst slip but still really feel I've let myself down. Long story posted in the Nest so I won't bore you all with it. The good news is that I think it's actually helped strengthen my resolve in a roundabout way. And i've certainly had way worse 'slips'.

Good news: I discovered the most awesome mocktail last night on asking the bar tender to make me something 'non alcoholic and fruity'. He came back with THE most delicious drink garnished with cucumber. Apparently it was chopped strawberries, gingerale, lemon juice and ice. Divine!

Just in case anyone is in need of mocktail ideas. I do find I get bored of soda water and lime and herbal tea myself.

Lily, you won't be the first or the last to have slipped. I haven't checked the nest thread so I don't know what happened ........ but we all have our own paths to find and follow. If you are feeling that you have let yourself down, that is the most important thing. I sooooo know that feeling of waking up in the morning and wishing that you could turn the clock back and do things differently!! But it is done and in the past ..... time to move on from yesterday!! Beating yourself up doesn't help - affirming your intent to move forwards and recognising the progress that you have made does.

My "local" does a Virgin Cosmopolitan with lime and mint that is very yummy and I refill it with sparkling water so the one drink lasts me all night. I'm a bit stingy when it comes to going out :H

I'm grumpy myself having gone to my percussion class and tried a new instrument and I really sucked big time. Music is something that I am normally good at, so it is a bit confronting to find the bits that I can't do. Next week I will go back to something easier.

We have a storm about to hit here, and Mr B is away to see his boy, so I am closing the curtains, battering down the hatches and turning on a DVD.

Hiya all. Wouldn't you know it was the busiest Sunday beside Christmas in a year. Figures. Then went to do a little grocery shop which turned into I need one of everything in case I never come to the store again shop. Also bought an Uber warm robe and blanket for the cold weather. That will show my electricity bill. Good to be home.

Lily, don't worry about it. MB said it well.

Good job on the cozy robe Sunny. I have a big polar fleece one, and look like a bear in it, but I love it!

Builder coming this morning to replace some rotten board, and then the tiny last bit of painting can be completed!!
