Tomorrow, Mrs. Fen and I are heading to the beach for a week of fun and sun. We are supposed to be vacationing with her parents, but her dad is having tests today that will reveal the extent of his illness. If things are bad, he and MIL will not join us and stay home for a round of chemo instead. If he's okay, they'll be joining us. Please send your healing thoughts and prayers his way. :h

Morning everyone. I am fine - I did post last night but it was more of a whinge so I deleted it all - too many others here have too much going on to hear about my whingeing. So I went to bed instead and slept a fitful 13 hours. Work mid shift today and have just showered. I MUST quit both smoking and drinking. That is all there is to it. Hate having the night sweats I get when I drink - even though I don't have enough to have hangovers - the night sweats still hit me hard. And here I go again so will stop. Have a wonderful day everyone. Fen - hope you get good results from Mr Fens dads results - SO happy about your EKG results. You must be mightily relieved. I am really happy for you. Talked to BOB yesterday and we both need to stop again. He got onto me about my smoking as did my mum too.

Yep, Hilton Head. I could walk that beach for hours! I only ever find pieces of sand dollars, though. I'm bringing an empty peppermint bark tin to put all my finds in. I once had a great time finding shark's teef there.

I'm here. I was up for 40 hours when I finally went to sleep last night. Woke at 4, went back to sleep, then woke at 12! Have to sleep sitting up, but I'm getting better. After his tirade the other day, Hubs brought home steak dinners and and was SOOOOoo solicitous. He was here yesterday when I had a really bad spasm with my side, and it shook him up. Told me not to do a thing today. It's actually boring.
Fenny, Satan will NOT be joining us at the cabin. She's one of the reasons I can't go alone, because I usually won't take her, and Hubs says she gets manic when I leave her alone. Tough titties. I can't risk being there with her since she might kill me. I don't know if TMB will come. If I have my puppies then, I'll bring them since their early training is crucial. I worry about you going of you AD, though. Stopping it cold turkey is hard on our body. Can't you switch to something else?
Sunny, I'm so sorry you've been down, but you're right about stopping. Sometimes it's the only thing. The absolute WORST thing for me right now is a coughing fit, since I'm taking such shallow breaths to avoid pain. The biggest threats with this injury is the broken lungs damaging an organ or pneumonia. So you live such a healthy lifestyle, smoking just doesn't fit in.
MB, sweetie, only you could change $1 readers into a fashion statement. I get mine at those discount stores, too, since I lose them all the time.
T, I'm gonna call you tonight, OK? I figured ya'll might be having services today or something, so I'll call them. Plus, JC is here finishing the grass. He really is a sweet kid, and he was over here alone yesterday and we had a good talk.

You're so good with your hands.

I'm all for you leaving the big dawgs at home and bringing the little (or not so little) pups.

I'm not completely off my AD. I am on the dose I started out on years ago. I do want to gradually wean off of it, though. I think the main reason I became depressed was because of my alcohol abuse. I really don't like the idea of staying on a brain chemistry altering drug forever.
