Rubes-- so sorry for your pain. I have been researching all morning different things to try to help some of these issues. Grateful--- I try to keep going , my main issue is more these blasted headaches. I have a blood disease which leaves me tired but I am pretty used to that and low immunity from surviving cancer years ago and then the blood virus on top so I get nagging illnesses but I try to keep trucking-- it just drives me insane when these insurance companies insert themselves in the process to try to basically deny coverage of any medication you are prescribed. I suppose it would thrill them if I dropped dead as a result of their actions but I believe I shall live if for nothing else to spite them HA!!! Right now I am in bed with thecheating pad on the side of my head-- the medicine that sort of works that they don't want to cover-- I got samples from the doc-- BUT-- you can only take 2 a day because it narrows your blood vessels-- guess if you took a ton you could have a stroke or heart attack apparently. I still need to get my BP down-- it is not normal still though probably because I keep having a couple headaches a week and they last 2 to 3 days so I have no recovery time to test it. Hopefully the preventive when it builds to the level it is ultimately needed to will lessen them enough to assess--about 10 more days.

Oh and Rubes--Medieval Times is so expensive but there are coupons every once in a while ( we did that ) though it was still a load-- but it was a BLAST for the boys. Perfect for the age of your grandboys.

ATL, like I told you before, I'll get you with Dr. Kevin ASAP, and believe me, he has been a godsend in my life. I'm still in a TON of pain, especially rib pain and lower back. A lot of docs want to skimp on the dosage, but he listens, is throrough, has great associates, and I can call him for anything. CALL me! There's no reason for you to got through this. Docs are required now to rate your pain and how frequent it is. I'd love to take a hammer to one of those smug no-it-all bas&ards and give them permanent pain in their head or lower back, or ANYWHERE! Have to go lie down now. Later guys.

Just ordered my plane tickets to go visit Rubes in her not-so-rustic hideaway!

ATL, that sucks about your insurance company. I hate them, I really do. I was denied insurance for ages (when Mrs. Fen and I started our own business) as I had a psych history. The plan we were able to get refused to cover any sort of psych care for me. Now we are on a decent plan, but it's insane the hoops that people have to jump through. :h

Rubes, I hope you will be back on your feet soon. :h

Grate, I am thrilled to hear that the original pain is gone...how wonderful! I do hope that you don't have C-diff...although hospitals are where you pick up such infections. You should call your doctor. :l

Oh, my brother is being released to home today...the hospital wanted to put him in a skilled nursing facility, but he put his foot down. He's incredibly sleep deprived and needs some rest. He spent two and a half weeks in the hospital! I can't imagine...

Hallo all - just got in from work. rubes it is good to see you here. you had us all a little worried. I hoper that you heal quickly and don't hurt too much. fen - hope your brother gets on better at home - often that is what we need - to be at home.

They didn't take me off my AD's cold turkey - well, they did but have put me on another one - because of the abnormal EKG they needed to take me off of the one I was on. So, we will see how I go on the different one. Hate change. But of course, I also don't want to drop dead either. So I understand where they are coming from. Right now I just want to crawl into my bed with the duvet pulled over me and stay there for the forseeable future - shut the world out and let me wallow in my pity party. My daughter is moving to Panama City Jan - but I found out yesterday that she is only going to be stationed there for 9 months then they will be stationed elsewhere and have no idea where yet. It could be overseas. I will try to get down to them at the end of the summer I think just for a long weekend if I have any leave left.

Grateful - so good to see you. I am so sorry about yout tummy but so pleased about your back being better. your tummy will get better and when it does - how wonderful that your back will be good too - I am so happy for you.

ATL - sorry about the hassle for you with your insurance company. Makes me cross in this country that it is so hard to get the tabs that one needs. I so hope that you are feeling better :l
