I suffer from empty nest and both my boys are at home!!! But they are always gone....
feeling better after a 12 hour sleep......guess I needed it...going to see doc today tp get AB prescription, if she will give it to me and talk about some other stuff.
Clay is back at school and I need to get my butt up and get ready for work.

G, so happy to hear hubby is really throwing himself into his work. And as far as empty nest, we say our daughter had a reservation for a U-Haul for the day after graduation, and she never looked back. SC isn't far from me. When she's here making we can meet!

Slept 12 hours and feel much better. Ribs not so bad today, hand really hurts, but cest le vie. MIL got a good look at me yesterday and was shocked. Wanted to clean my house. NO. But we will eat supper with them tonight. Don't want her in my stuff, if you can understand. One of my renters is coming next week to deep clean. Hell, just scraping the floor will be an improvement!

Okay-- mostly good stuff. He did not think there was a reason to test my blood. says there is no indication I have a risk factor for liver or kidney damage. As for BP-- it was 113/73 here this morning and freakng 140/73 there! I almost cried! But because I lost so much weight in the past month and because he believed that it was normal when I woke up he told me I could have another 6 weeks to monitor it and see how it was-- keep the heafache log and see if the wild spikes are all related to rebounds and how long are the rebound times because we don't want them to be as long as they have been. Hopefully as I have less headaches as the meds build in the system then the BPs will get more normal. Otherwise I will be forced to go and get on the meds. I do still have a ways to go to lose though-- I am challenging myself this month as my Bday is in 33 days to see where I am then.

MB we are seeing one from your neck of the woods in about a week-- Tom Petty. Hubs is out of town now-- I am so tired-- stayed up watching mOre hockey and my team is on tonight-- I may collapse!

Tay is here cleaning. Well, her idea of it anyway. MB, my renter cleans houses on the side, and if she's good (her house is spotless and lovely) we can simply offset her rent. Win-Win, huh? If that doesn't work, I will get professionals.
Hubs and I want to move to Venus. Don't think any of our relatives have a calling plan that will reach there. We can be pioneers and make friends with the natives, where we will be royalty because of my purple cast.
Nora, hope the psych appt goes well. We all know you're psycho, so don't worry, be yourself, my love!
Hand hurts a lot. Another thread asked me to post my story, so lots of typing there, now I'm whipped. Stopped at the store on my way to get Tay and the clerk there told me he worries about me. 'You need to eat!' he tells me in his heavy accent. 'You need the health, the health!' Too funny. I explained dieting, and he informed me women in his country would be happy to look like me, which is even funnier. Can't imagine what they look like! :H:H:H

MB I have seen him 5 or 6-- hubs just texted asking if we have any beer for the Blackhawks game-- hello?? is he insane? I told him whatever amount he had the last time he looked that is what he has. I guess he is hinting about getting home. Besides not eating salt and exercising and losing weight, is that it for lowering blood pressure? My dad has high but only with old age not hereditary. I wanted to try to lose 15 in a month but I really think that may be unrealistic for a woman over 40-- I would have to strenuously work out daily and even then... Plus I can't control if I get a migraine-- I mean I want to do this for a challenge but maybe 10 is more realistic.

Rubes-- on the cabbage soup thing do you only eat cabbage soup-- I can't remember. I have been counting points lately.

Today the doctor gave me a sample of an imitrex shot-- has anyone ever done this-- it is a CO2 one-- no needle-- supposed to do it in the gut and it hurts allegedly like HELL . Like the mass kids polio vaccines supposedly but i don't think they hurt like that. Not supposed to raise BP as much as the other abortive. I cannot see doing a shot..

ATL, daughter uses Imetrex tabs at beginning of migraine. I still think you need pain management. That little magazine I mentioned before has a sample of diet foods and recipes. More than I ever eat, really. I LOVE the soup, so does Hubs. He has his with cornbread, though. Check it out, they have lots of good ones, and they take all the fat causing foods so you don't have to wonder.
Getting so frustrated with myself and trying to get well. I'm notoriously hard to heal, but this is the first time I've broken my arm. Leg was awful, but I got really good in my wheelchair. Thank goodness this old house has wide door way and walking spaces. Could NOT navigate with crutches, nearly killed my damn self. Fell over like a tree in the forest one night and Hubs was too stunned to move. Thought I was dead. He took the crutches and hid them. Then I tried the infamous knee board, where I put my broken leg up on it and pushed myself along. But it didn't steer, and I ended up jetting downhill out of control in the docs parking lot. Some strange man sprinted down and saved me. :H
BREAKING NEWS:::aughter just called and I asked her what kind of gift card she wanted me to send her. She said 'something I can use for maternity clothes'!!!EUREKA!!!!!!!!!! UI'm gonna be g'ma again, from the greatest parents in the world!!! Promised I'd do ANYTHING to help, from money to moving in there. Also, it feels like MY birthday today, made my world. Due Dec 20, but of course we have to be cautious since she has a history of miscarriages, but I'm gonna pray like my life depends on it. All yours would be appreciated!!! Wish you could see my smile. Gotta go call Hubs. Later!!!
