I don't know...her folks have known about his cancer since late Jan or early Feb, but wanted to "spare" the kids. As a result, this is all seeming to happen so fast- we barely have time to process anything! J is going to try to get more details from her mom tomorrow.

I guess they were trying to be kind, but in reality it's very unkind.
