My husband was recently diagnosed with gastritis and ulcers. He doesn't drink but has to completely change his diet. No caffeine, chocolate, spicy foods, etc.

Hi Mama!

How are you feeling today? I went home for lunch yesterday and never came back to work...my stomach was on FIRE. I am worried that I have an ulcer too (here I go self-diagnosing again). I have so much stomach trouble. How do they determine you have an ulcer?

Anyway, I am back at work today, stomach is only a small spark instead of a raging fire right now, so I'm ok. Drinking coffee...real smart eh? LOL

K9...I dont know what to tell you...he poked my tummy and said 'gastritris and ulcer.....I prolly needs some tests...

I want to go home too...just had a serious wave of nauseua and shooting pain. I am off tomorrow at noon, then all day friday, so I will stick it out. I shouldn't have had coffee. Easy to say that now.

Yes I did...in fact, I don't think it ever really went away completely. Something is going on and I need to get to the bottom of it.

K-9, might I suggest you get a referrel from your doc to see a GOOD GI specialist? Well worth the time, since it's all they do.

Mama....so glad to see that you are feeling better...I have been thinking about you all day! I was hoping that you didn't have any flare ups during the night!

K9....I had nooo idea you weren't feeling well. Ouch...burning tummies are NOT fun! And..ummmm...what were you thinking with the coffee.....silly girl!!!!!! I was diagnosed with ulcers when I was 14 so of course it is sooooo smart of me to totally shred my insides and drink Vodka straight up! Ha! When my stomach bothers me I take Famotadine...20 mg...you can get it at the drugstore. Feel better...ok!
