Thanks D!
I have about 12 left in my pack at home and there's NO WAY I would smoke that many between now and 12pm tomorrow...I will have my daughter break up the remaining ones and throw them away...she's been dying to do it, tomorrow is her lucky day.
Come on Mama!!! :woot::heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Mama and K9....I have GREAT news for you....
Once you quit the smokes....you will find it a heck of a lot easier to stay AF. That is the beautiful truth! Besides the psychological pull of the smokes to the drink....nicotine stimulates the same darn part of the brain that drives addiction....to just about everything. So Win-Win on that lovely ladies!!!!
It might also help to find a positive new activity to fill the time that you once used to smoke. Even if you just smoked 6 a day at 10 minutes a pop.....you will have one more incredible hour in your life to do something GREAT! And, of course...you'll live longer and pretty ladies....you will age so much more gracefully.
We're here to cheer you on!!!!!Sober for the Revolution!

I agree with Ruby. K9 and Mama, I think you should both see a gastroenterologist. Mama I don't know how your doctor determined that you have gastritis just by looking at you! And if you do have gastritis they need to determine the cause of it. I was diagnosed as having gastritis by an endoscopy and they did a biopsy at the same time. They figured out that I had H. Pylori and I had to be treated for that too.
Best wishes and positive vibes to the two of you tomorrow on your first smokeless day!

I found the smokes much harder than the booze, I loved smoking and was a serial relapser. Thats why I did the both together. Not easy to be honest but I think, for me, it was easier than giving them up separately. I think I would have tried to hold onto one when I gave the other up.
If I can give up smoking..ANYONE can. K9, remember the No more Butts thread, that REALLY helped me, look it up, LOT@S of great hints and tips in there from people who have done it.
I have 2 years smoke free now and would NEVER have thought I was capable of it."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

Mama....2 bibs coming your way! Thanks for the encouragement...I am looking forward to day 3! Good luck with you today too! I did alot of aromatherapy when I quit smoking. I had a terrible time...I had been smoking since I was 16 and quit 2 years ago when I was 40. I had a hard time not only with the nicotine part but also the physical part. Everything and anything was a trigger for me to light up. So when I say that if I can do it...you CAN do it..I mean it from the depths of my soul!AB Club Member

Hi All!
Well I am "allowed" 2 more cigs (as decided by ME...lol), I'll sneak them in real quick before my parents pick me up and we head on down the road for our little trip. I will NOT miss the covering up...mouthwash, scrub hands, spray on perfume....it will be nice not to have to live a double life. I've quit for 30 days before but I used an electronic Cig...which I am not doing this time...why "pretend" to smoke? I'm trying to break the habit.
Mama, I don't really smoke THAT much, but when I was drinking...good lord...I could go through a pack and a half...of course by the end of the night I was lighting the wrong end....
Hope you're all well today!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
