K9....So I heard that your dog ate another library book....ooops! When I got home from the rodeo a couple of weeks back..one of my dogs ate the leather straps off of my daughters sandals!!!!! I had told her repeatedly to put them up in her room and not leave them in the living room....these are rainbow sandals and they cost $60.....ouch! It was ALOT of leather that he ate so guess who had to stay up until 3 am giving him peroxide to make him throw up.....yup...you guessed it...ME! The things we do for our pets!!!!!!AB Club Member

Hi RC!
Des - Yes...my dog is on library book #3...which reminds me, I forgot to move the book I was reading....uh oh. Oy.... pets huh? Your dog was in heaven chewing those leather sandals!! My cocker spaniel will eat anything: dried apricots, cherry pie, face cleanser cloths, his own poop, and of course library books. He's "busy"!!!
I am so happy it's Friday:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

I rescued my cocker from a Sanctuary. He had been to the pound TWICE so they shipped hiim off...I saw his picture online and called the pound, and they said "Oh we just sent him away yesterday!"...so I called the number they gave me and the lady that runs the sanctuary brought him to me. Poor little dude, he's been through so much, I am determined to give him the best years of his life (he's 8). So far he is taking me up on that offer...he sleeps with his head on my pillow. LOL:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Before moving to NC I worked at this vet clinic and we did ALOT of work with rescue groups. One time we had 6 dogs that were rescued from death row at a kill facility. They were precious but we kept them in a seperate room until they got all their vaccinations etc. Well...when I would go in there to develop x-rays...I swear the one Chihuahua could talk! He would howl and it would sound like he was saying "let me out!" It was too friggin funny...and yes....other people heard it too!!!!! HeeheeAB Club Member

Well that brings us to my "Chihuahua Story". lol
She "found" me one early morning, she was just sitting at the doorstep. Of course I took her in. I called the pound and let them know I'd found her, but NOBODY ever came looking for her. So I figured they don't deserve her! That was about 8 months ago. She is now fully integrated into the K9 family. When it's dinner time she spins in circles as she runs down the hallway, like the Tasmanian devil. She's too cute and I have never been a chihuahua fan...until now. LOL
Sometimes I have to put her on the counter to eat though, because the bigger dogs grub their food down then "hover" over her. Poor little thing. LOL:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
