A good book I just read is "The Girls" by Lori Landers. It's really good...if you're looking for a book to read

My new focus is that I'm trying to get a job at the jail, to be one of the people that books the incoming criminals. I went last Friday and met (sucked up to) the Head Jailer. He gave me an hour and a half tour of the jail and acted like he wanted to hire me. lol
Then I got an "advanced" copy of the study booklet for the test. Over 100 people have applied for the job so far, but I'm confident in myself....but I'll take as many good thoughts coming my way as possible. I need a job with some excitement!

It's more money, overtime possible, and 4 days on, 3 days off....I am ready for a change!! My 20 year career as a Secretary/Assistant/Clerk is getting old. I'm ready to frisk people. LOL

Hi Mama!
I hope you have a good day at work. It's only 9am and I am already staring at the clock. LOL And I laughed at your comment about the Mayor missing me...hehehe....maybe he'll come visit me at the jail. I started studying my "Corrections Officer Exam Guidebook" last night, and I realized I am NOT a good student.

I will only be frisking the women...but I hear they are mostly quite manly women, if ya catch my drift. LOL

I had another crazy thought last night...my daughter is gone until July 6th...so I figured if I quit AB today, by Tuesday night I could drink, and I'm off Wednesday. UGGGHHH, when will that stop being the FIRST thought that pops into my head? It's so annoying. I took my AB today by the way...I'm not letting the beast get me!

I've been on a Cheetos Puffs kick lately. I bought a HUGE bag and ate the whole darn thing all by myself in 2 sittings. Eating Cheesepuffs and watching the Kardashians....boy that killed off some brain cells that I really can't spare! I literally feel myself becoming stupid when when I watch that show...yet I can't stop. HA

LibraryGirl got me hooked on that show Downton Abbey, my daughter and I sat there one night and watched 5 episodes in a row. Unfortunately I had to turn it back in to the library because someone else had it requested, but I just got a notice that it's ready again...now don't tell me I had to turn it in because I had it on hold? LOL Oy.

I thought you told me about the Tudors and LG told me about DA? Whatever, I'm glad one of you did, cuz me and my little buddy are having fun watching it. She's out of town until next Thursday so I'm not picking it up from the Library until next week so I can keep it the full 7 days.
