Hi K9.....I am glad you're daughter is home. I am going to be totally lost when my daughter heads back to college next month. It's been so nice having her home!!!!!

I am back K9....and it wasnot a vacay..it was f'ing boot camp!!
We painted the house and I am SORE
but it was good quality time with Hubs........I realzied I actually still adore him after 21 years of marriage.
Next time....GIRLS TRIP....AL free....hang out time.....I promise....I will post some pictures if I ever figure out to get them off my I fone

I'm glad you're back from Boot Camp Mama! Sorry you had a little slip up...but it happens. The good thing is you didn't fall all the way back into the abyss...you dipped your toe in and know you don't like it anymore. YAY! The last time I drank, I did NOT enjoy it in the least, but being the trooper that I am...I forced it down anyway! Now how's that for fun? NOT

I took my written test for the Jailer position on Saturday. They had 30 people scheduled to take the morning test, but only 17 showed. So my odds went up right there! Hopefully the afternoon session had the same measly results! LOL I want to just get this thing going...give me my handcuffs already! HA

So Mama, how are you and Johnny doing? Was he at Boot Camp with you and Papa Bear? That could have been awkward. Joaquin and I are taking a break, he says I am too weird for him. LOL

Morning Mama and All!

Nothing much to report today. I made chili last night and it's cooking in the crock pot. I've never made chili before so it's probably pretty bland. I'm just proud of myself for cooking...I'm sick to DEATH of frozen food and take out!!

I'll check in later with more "exciting" news, I know you can't wait. LOL

P.S. Yes, I have my gloves and flashlight ready for the searches....

I don't know why I got a hankerin' for chili all of a sudden. I'm going to make cornbread and a salad to go with it. Like I said...sick to death of frozen crap. If I see one more Hot Pocket I'm gonna scream. LOL (my freezer is full of them though...and I'm way too cheap to waste them)

1 lb ground beef (or so)
1 big can black beans
1 big can red kindey beans
1 can Ro Tel tomatos
1 envelope Chili seasoning
i can beef gravy (or broth)
salt and pepper to taste
sugar to taste

brown meat, dump everything else in and enjoy!!!
GREAT served over cornbread or noodles or rice
top with shredded cheddar

Morning All!

My chili turned out bad...it got kind of burned as it was cooking because there wasn't enough juice...so I added some water and let it keep cooking, but the burnt taste was still there. Then my cornbread didn't cook all the way through and the middle was mushy. I haven't cooked in a while, and it was very obvious! LOL Hopefully I'll be back on my A game soon.
