Hi all, I think we spend a lot of time beating up on ourselves and focusing on our negative traits.Lists list 5 things that we like about ourselves. I'll go first
1 I have a great sense of humour
2 I have small feet
3 I am an accomplished cook
4 I can talk to anyone
5 I like that I have a kind heart (that is a gift from God)
I am sure you all have at least 5

Good idea. I was just sitting here ruminating about all that is wrong with me. So now for the positive stuff.

1. I am a compassionate and empathetic person.
2. I am a very good cook.
3. I have a great sense of humor (twisted maybe, but I find myself funny ).
4. I am a good mother.
5. I am grateful for all I have.

fab idea I've been very down on self recently so here goes

Okay this is a good exercise. Great idea Simey.

1. I am told my laugh is infectious.

2. I'm a hard worker in the work place.

3. I can draw decently.

4. I have nice, shiney and healty hair.

5. I don't mind teaching others at work new things that I've already learned so they can improve.

Okay, Wow! That's was hard. Not sure why. Guess I need to focus on the positive more.

2. I put everyone else before myself (dunno if that is really good, but I think so in many ways)

This is a great idea for a thread. We find so much time to beat ourselves down that it's great to take the time to really think about what is good about ourselves.

I like myself because

1. I am an advocate for my son with autism and for my children who don't have developmental disabilities. I will defend the rights of any children who need my help.

2. I am a good supervisor.

3. I advocate for the rights of all adults and children with developmental disabilities.

4. I am a sucker for stray animals...just ask my husband why we keep ending up with more pets.

5. I am a great listener and I really care about people. I love to listen to people's stories and offer help and ask for nothing in return.
