Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

I've been here 3 years and had many many cracks at long term abstinence, then buggered it all up with what can only be described as a rush of false confidence and denial.
I am traditionally an absolutist kind of girl, but working in absolutes means that the successes are overwhelming, and the failures are devastating, and ulimately lead to full relapse.
Don't let a relapse become your excuse to give up. All I can say is keep going. I will.
Stop fighting, bargaining, manipulating, denying and excuse making. We can't drink alcohol. That's all there is to it.There are so many other things that we can do.
There's a certain freedom in surrender and acceptance.
Well that's about as bloody serious as I ever get, so I'll scuttle back to the drawer now.
