    Off to see the Doctor

Oh well, i've bitten the bullet and called my P-doc who has booked me in for an assessment with another doc who is an alcohol specialist. Have been having a really bad time lately and can't seem to stop - not for lack of trying.

Now getting withdrawal symptoms for the first time ever - the only way I control them is with sedatives - need help now so wish me luck - I am terrified, completely terrified.

Will keep you posted if don't end up in a hospital bed.

Fingers crossed for me at 3pm (Ozzie time).

Thanks Waves - Just never thought it would come to this - but I refuse to just keep going the way i'm going, and I know that I need help now - better than before. Every time i drink I get really drunk and then beat myself up badly because there's something in the back of my mind that says "no this is not fun or relaxing - it's just stupid". My husband reckons that's a great leap forward.

Thanks for your really kind words

                  thanks Paula and thanks Kate...

I know wat you mean Kate - you feel better and then you think everything will be fine and thet you can control it all. I can't even control my bi-polar let alone this...and have tried to do it at home, tried hard. Need to do this for Sophie and Anthony and not end up like my Mother.
At leaset i have worked out I can't control things at the moment - i know i'd have a drink now given the chance - too doped up on medication to get out of the house. I just want to obliterate it all - but I can't for my little girl.

Oh I love fear, such a great thing - mix with panic and anxiert and what a cocktail - who needs a drink.

Thanks Victoria and Lush too - I don't fell brave...but I know this is the right decision. I'm worried about missing work/money etc etc (no sick leaveleft) and all the other things..I have to focus on the fact that if I don't get better - on all fronts - I wont have a job at all.
