You know ... when I started this thread, I tried to deflect attention away from two of our members who were going through a difficult time. One member was feeling pretty lousy about something that they had been responsible for and the other member probably felt totally unsupported by the rest of us. Both are totally decent people. A thread had been started expressing both points of view but we just wouldn't let it lie. The thread kept being resurrected, probably adding to the anguish and stress of both members.

So I started this thread - with the best of intentions. I wanted us to give the injured parties time to heal and move forward. What I find now is - we've turned this into yet another Word Association thread. That was NEVER my intention.

Both members in question are still very absent from the Boards. I value both of them and really wish we would stop playing silly buggers. By all means, continue with the game but please take a tiny moment to send them a sincere and considered PM.

Perhaps the other mistake I made was to assume that we ALL read absolutely everything. I thought we all understood what was going on. I keep seeing the words "oh we're here to support". You can't support if you don't keep your finger on the pulse of each and every member.

Each and every one of them has a heartbeat. Let's never trivialise that.
