    Army Thread 21st April

    Good morning one and all!

A very happy birthday to Jan, I hope you have a wonderful day today and give yourself a huge pat on the back for your successes

I am staying at my nieces house this weekend, had a lovely evening eating pizza and watching Jerry McGuire and brill old chick flick. She loved it, the girl has taste :H

Today we are either going shopping or going to a farm to feed some lambs, depends on the weather. Really looking forward to it.

Whats everyone else up to today?

Anyhoo... so I filled in as Wade (ex-bf-dentist-etc)'s date. And, for once, I sat and watched and didn't say much. AMAZING what you see when yer not actively participating. It was an eye opener and I was a bit out of my depth with all them political folk... but I smiled a lot and made it through. HOWEVER... had I been wasted... I am sure I would have ruined the evening.

Gawd, I'm long winded. My point is that I handled it all well... had I been trolleyed it would have been a minor disaster.....
That is amazing Sheila. its these moments that actually reinforce to us that sobriety can and will work for us. Sometimes we just have to be ourselves, the way we are and not who we think we should be. For example I used to feel I was boring, dull and why on earth would anyone want to spend time with me. So I would drink to appear like I had a personality. It doesnt work and actually letting who we really are come out is OK. If we give it a chance

We have our elections on Sunday. I'll go vote but I haven't become too involved in it all. Haven't been following the USA elections too much. Do the poles think Obama will be re-elected?
Your week-end sounds lovely Starts. Pizza, dog, good films, nice kid....
I have to go pick up some books for my daughter today. She is preparing for the Cambridge IGCSE exam.
And going to see a friend later who has a little boy the same age as my son. Pretty chilled out weekend! Thank God!:H

                            Mornin all.
Read back last night . Ms A. Throw Mr A into another room tonight. Don't tolerate snoring to stop you sleeping for your big day. Mr Satz gets the heave ho if I can't sleep and he's causng a racket. Nothing wrong with being selfish sometimes.

But......... Going to give Mr Satz a break . My frIend in work didn't appear last week. Got text her husband told her doesn't love her any more and has replacement lined up. She is only 40 with two young kids. She moved to HIS hometown when they
married. She has been sole breadwinner there on small wage for 6 years. Now he's off. Bastard. Oney can you read cards for her - good or bad? Won't tell her bad stuff but can advise maybe . She tends to be very pessamistic person and this will either make or break her.
