Grr, LJ - I used to work in hospitality - running a restaurant - so I can empathise with you having to work when everyone else has the holiday...

He's just a big bald pussy cat..:h
It was his idea to send tigger around the world...joined so many of us..personally and the pics of members home's & local sites etc.. just brilliant..:l
it was about then the meet ups started, and then there was physical contact with our cyber friends..so nice...
and yep not having the day off when the others have long weekends etc...sucks..!
But it does keep the wolf from the door..! rather be working earning dosh for when I do have time to chillout or take my children on a holiday same as last year, our first ever family holiday..
fucking booze screws so much up and we can never get that time back..regrets, I wish if they could understand that we do feel regret and recognise how we messed things up, when once we are sober..it takes soo long for them to believe it,
and if or when we do have a lapse...same old remarks of "I knew it wouldn't last", "why did you do it", "you only have yourself to blame" "you were probably drinking all the time, and we've only just caught you"...!
All these comments don't help to get back AF again, just wish they could understand the torment we have..:upset: well for my part that's how it is...!

Aw most definitely - how COOL...It must be quite a thrill to live close enough to meet each other in person. A few years ago (when I first started at MWO) I was in touch with another member who lived sort of near me - in Auckland, which is a couple of hours on a plane. She was called Boozehag, (MWO name)...I wonder if she is still around???
Tips- our kidlets are pretty darn spesh ay

There was a few years where I only saw my two eldest at holiday times - my drinking was the sole reason they lived at their dads. I was completely fucked and new I could give them no kind of proper life. My boys - who are now 21 and 18 came back to live with me as soon as I started trying to stop...about 8 years ago - thank GOD, ...I have had to forgive myself mostly - it is easy to look back and beat myself up. They didn't miss out though - they have great r/ships with their dad - and nothing happens by mistake...

Good morning Army. And all the MWO supporters of my marathon.
Slept the night with marathon vest and medal.
First many thanks for all the support and good wishes yesterday. I feel so humble and touched.:new:
Still feeling a bit sick but reckon it was a dodgy meal on Friday night. I ran the race without eating at all the day before!
Off for a nice shower in the b&b and a walk with Mr A.
