You're so right we're all a work in progress. Taken me a while to realise how alcohol has affected every area of my life. Now I quite like the challenge of over coming situations sober.

Anyway me aches and pains were well earned rather than just a night passed out hugging the big white telephone in the bathroom.

Hell yes!! I agree and relate to all of your last post totally, JC - the misery, total misery of the active 'ism' - thank God we have the solution. It took me a lot of painful reminders, my love/hate battle with booze controlled so much of my life for so long!

Just chilling out watching telly right now, the beverly housewives, lol, then midsomer murders - which I quite enjoy. Got a couple of sober mates hopefully coming for a game of cards soon, ... life is good,,, I don't need the dramatic, boozey saturday nights of yore :H

Yep, looking forward to it, I love getting out and about sober.

I see there is still quite a bit of upset on the boards in light of recent events. I stand by what I said and I have never had an argument with ANYONE on here in the 4 years that I have been here, some things needed to be said and rather than hide behind cryptic posts on another thread and insinuate, I replied to a post on the thread itself. I have always given support here at MWO to others, I like to think I have lent a hand but I am not infallible and I do get annoyed, disheartened and pissed off too. I spoke MY truth and thats the way it is. Nobody asked ANYBODY to leave and nothing anybody does is because of me, be it leaving the site or deciding to drink. Everyone is responsible for themselves and the way they react to a situation.
I have NEVER started a "Hate Thread" either. If speaking my truth is a crime, then shoot me.
